Upgraded breaks is a must !! Also Grips and sticker kit are nice upgrades AND handlebars of your preference, I run the big honkin cruiser bars on all my bikes cause they not to tall and the bars are really wide which I like
I have an SE So Cal Flyer 24" in black and gold, looks similar to your black and gold Big Ripper. I have the same frame pads, chrome handlebars and StyX Ace Of Pace tyres with an old school tread, lovely bike!
Going lower teeth count on the sprocket makes it easier, and going up on teeth on the freewheel also makes it easier , but the easier you make it to pedal the less speed youlll be able to go, it’s a give and a take when changing gear ratio.. I’d say go 32 : 17 or just go 17 on the free wheel
Can you put 29x 2.50 maxxis hookworm tires on a 29x 2.40 on the stock gold big ripper rims because I’m getting new tire, I don’t know if I have to get new rims to for the tire fit on, I’m just wondering if they will still fit on the the stock times?

I got a 29" gt and it has a 33 : 16 gear ratio. It’s pretty hard to pedal and I mainly ride on flat roads so do you think a 30 : 13 is good?
I never ran that before but I think that’ll be more heavy I think 33/16 is the best

Getting a stock 29" big ripper going from a stop is pretty hard haha but once it's moving its good
Change the freewheel to a 15t and it should give you a good take off
