Hi Claire, a lovely vlog as always. That gingham wren blouse is gorgeous on you! The colour is stunning! It looks so neat and fits perfectly, a really really lovely make 😍
The rag market and Barry’s are great for new (returning) sewists like me. The fabrics are cheap enough to practice with or make wearable toiles. I’m due a revisit soon too but it definitely needs a dry day! Loved your top Clare, so neat x
You found some interesting fabrics for great prices. The blouse you're wearing really suits your coloring. Seems like quite a fun day out, even with the rain. Am enjoying your channel as a recent subscriber. The purple flower buttons work great on the blouse, so would the new ones, but I would save them for another garment. Thanks for sharing your fabric haul.
Fab haul!! Love the rag market a bit too much and I’m all for rummaging in the pile! 😂😂😂. I also have the metallic leopard jersey and I think I’m going to make an avenir jumpsuit for when I go to ABBA Voyage! 🥳 🪩 😅
Oh thanks Sarah! Your name did crop up yesterday. Haha! We said we should have bought a suitcase with us like you did 🤣🤣 The avenir will look amazing g in that metallic jersey 🤩
The wren blouse is beautiful, the neon buttons really pop. I'm not sure about changing the buttons on the Anthea blouse, they look a bit large and the purple flower buttons suit it anyway. Great fabric haul!
Hi Clare, love your blouses. Your fabrics are lovely too. I am going to Birmingham on 1st June, my husband has an event at the NEC. Haven’t a clue where the market is so if you can give me any tips on getting there or any other shops to visit, Barry’s is on my list 😊 Debbie x x
Hi Debbie, ooh that’s exciting. Take a big bag or better still, a trolley/suitcase 😂 If you’re going by train, from New Street station, walk through the shopping centre & when you get outside from there, turn right & head down the hill. It’s down lots of steps & the market is at the bottom. Barry’s & The Fancy Silk store are a short walk from there 🤩
Lovely fabric choices! Can’t wait to see the trousers when they are finished! 🌺
Thank you so much 😀

Love the 1st autumn fabric and the last green jersey. Thanks for sharing your trip
Thank you 🤩
Lovely blouses. The flowered fabric is lush ❤. The buttons you have put on look really nice. Xx
Thank you so much ☺️
Your wren blouse is gorgeous and I love the buttons - they remind me of sweeties from days gone by. The blouse really suits you
Thank you, yes they are quite sweet like 😀
Love your new blouse, the colour is amazing on you ! I dread doing buttonholes as they always mess up ! Have a good week xx
Thank you so much. 😀
I think I would swap the buttons, as you say they are perfect.

Love love that orange blouse!! What pattern is that…..I’d love to get my hands on one. I’m new at sewing (my own clothes)!
Thank you. It’s the Wren blouse by Chalk & Notch ☺️
I think you swap your buttons, they are well suited for your blouse.
Swap them out, those colored ones go WAY better

Love your blouses. I’m going to Birmingham in June, I need to be good as well, don’t think I’ll manage it at those prices
