What a fab round up! Some amazing fabrics and that sewing retreat sounds amazing!!!
@@TheFrenchSeams_vlog thanks so much Rachel 😍
Great vlog, such a lovely array of goodies. I love the sonny jacket and the bag! Xxx
@@StitchHemSew thank you so much Claire 😀
Really enjoyed seeing all your stuff. I don't know how you manage to keep track or everything!!!!!!! See you .soon
@@suzisy-mb7iw haha, I do wonder myself sometimes. I am quite an organised person so I write a lot of stuff down & I always prep for my vlogs, although the speaking part is very ad-lib 😀
Wow lots to share hun! sounds like you had a fab time, as always love the fabric choices 🙂
@@whatbecsews thanks lovely 🥰 x
Hi Claire, what a great round up and feel for the show! I do love a show and being in Northern Ireland we don’t have many. I travel across the sea for 1 every year and enjoy every minute O spend surrounded by fabric and all things sewing.
I don’t like shows to have other stands which are unrelated like kitchen cleaning etc as I think they just don’t need to be in the same place 😂
Luckily for us we have The Knitting and Stitching show coming to Belfast this week so I have bought my ticket and going on Friday lunchtime.
Brexit has ruined a lot for us and really we don’t know the half of it. Maybe better we don’t 😉 I only learnt from one of the stand holders and it was mind blowing how awkward and expensive it it for them to exhibit.
Anyway, loved to see your purchases and I can’t wait to see what you make. I am not a skirt wearer and have only 2 summer ones in my wardrobe! Maybe need to think about a winter one.
Thanks for sharing and have a great sewing week x
@@alisonkirk5720 that’s brilliant that the show is finally coming to you this year. You must be so excited! I hope you have a fabulous time. I went to one at Birmingham NEC yesterday, there were lots of random stalls & crafts unrelated to sewing but I still managed to find some sewing goodies. I’ve shared my vlog about that today 🤩 Thanks for watching 🙌🏼
Love the linen fabrics - beautiful colours and patterns and other fabrics too - you have great taste in colour and patterns xx I.
@@Jooles1501 thanks Julie 🥰 x
Hi Claire! So many wonderful goodies in this vlog. Your Sonny jacket is wonderful! I love the fabric choice and it fits you so well. What a wonderful way to spend a weekend - with like minded sewing enthusiasts. I love sewing retreats. I just feed off of everyone's positive and creative energy and I always leave with my soul filled with goodness. I live in the north western part of the state of New York (7 hrs north of NYC) and I always have to travel quite far for them, so I don't get to go often. Thanks for sharing all of your finds and purchases!
@@ritaadler-everett5392 thank you so much. It really was a wonderful wholesome weekend. Just a shame it’s all over ☺️
@@lovesredsews I totally understand that feeling. Time for you to sign up for another one!
Great haul! Especially love the avenir fabric! Also really llke the idea of the Naya's with the patterned fabrics.
@@sewsarahstyle thank you Sarah 😀 x
Lovely to see you again at camp, thanks for sharing everything on the vlog. Love your fabrics
@@sarahmiddle5028 thanks Sarah, it was lovely to see you too 😀
Just found your channel and love your purchases. Thank you! ❤️
@@susanhardman5627 thank you so much for watching. I hope you’ll continue to enjoy my content ☺️
Looks like you had a great time at the camp and picked up some really nice bits and pieces. The black and white top from the swap rail really suits you. Love your Sonny jacket. Shame about the fish situation! I’ve just had my full colour consultation done by Chelsie and I am Clear. I’d highly recommend the full consultation as it really does open up so many possibilities with the 42 colours that you get etc xx
@@sewlittletime thanks Karen. I’m so tempted to get the full consultation now. I’m already finding myself referring to my top 10 colours 😀 Oh so we are both Clear! 😀
@@lovesredsews yes! And I also bought that strawberry lipstick 💄. Love it xx
@@sewlittletime oh wow! It’s fab isn’t it 🤩
that camp sounds soooo fun! id love to try something like it, very rare event here lol...i love! the fabrics you got...the blue with bamboo and the sage greens💚💚💚! lol i love watching the haul portions but omg i want to shop😅...oh you shouldn't worry about the word sweaty. its not a bad word and it's what we are when we sweat. normal😊...tfs:)
@@cherriesnhoney haha, thank you! Yes it’s hard to resist when others share their hauls isn’t it 😆
@@lovesredsews totally is! lol
Loved your vlog they are never too long . I think the 2 crafty pie prints will coordinate together lovely as trousers and a top
@@lesleyheather1 thank you, yes I was thinking they might co ordinate well together 😀
Great selection of fabrics, I am desperately trying to avoid the fabric sales as trying to be good 😂 Your bag looks very professional 😍
@@susandean4689 thank you so much! I’m always trying to avoid the sales but I have zero restraint 🤣🤣
Enjoyed the vlog and the beautiful fabrics..Ur hand bag and the jacket looks great! U done a great job on them!
@@LenaBeckwith thank you so much 😊
Lovely. Fabrics. Love your makes how lovely a retreat. See you soon. Xx
@@wendybingham thanks so much 😀
WOW! Fantastic vlog. Loved it all, I’m worn out 😂
@@maz9917 haha, thanks 😜
Love the bag you have made and the jacket is going to be fabulous 😍
@@lindsaym8546 thank you so much. I’m really pleased with them
Really enjoyed this vlog - so much interesting comment! I bought some See You at Six viscose linen (literally sewing up the hem on a jumpsuit now)nand also bought some of their jersey. It’s expensive but is sooo beautiful. Looking forward to seeing your makes. Thanks for your time ❤ xx
@@suebrown5500 oooh, that sounds lovely 🥰
A really enjoyable vlog - thank you. Your fabric haul had me sitting on my hands to stop myself rushing off and buying things! Your sewing camp sounds fantastic and I'm glad you had a good time. I love your bag - I have supplies all ready to start bag making but haven't yet plucked up the courage. Have a great week xx
@@AvrilBrown-ld6gm ah thank you. You did well to resist 😂 oh you should give it a go, as long as you go slowly. It’s very satisfying ☺️
Love your Haralson bag ❤ x
@@caronlever2019 thank you so much. I’m so pleased with the finished item 😀
Great vlog. I love seeing fabric hauls. Your jacket is beautiful with some lovely topstitching. Have you tried using a hump jumper over the bulky seams to flatten out your foot (may need to lengthen your stitch a bit over the bulky bits). You can buy a specific hump jumper (usually around £5) or use a bit of folded cardboard or some folded scrap fabric (I use all three, not at once though 😂). There are all sorts of UA-cam to help with this.☺️
@@annscott4031 thank you so much for the tip! I do have a hump jumper & completely forgot about it 😆 Ooops! I will have to remember that for next time 😀
Lovely vlog, found it very interesting.😌x.
@@joangilmore3598 thank you so much ☺️
Sewing weekend sounds great, not sure about sleeping in bunk beds though 😂
@@angelalysandrou4830 haha, yes it was certainly an experience 🤣🤣
Just watched this blog and am interested in maybe going to the sewing retreat next year, if they have one. I live not far from Leicestershire, and would love to spend some time with like minded sewists. Also, I just made a canvas jacket, and it was a free pattern, but I do like the one you made.
@@carolewilliams3572 oh lovely 🥰 I will probably go again next year too 🤩
Lovely fabrics as always! My favourite is the gingham with bows on. Will you try swimwear soon? I've just tried my first swimsuit, it was an experience, it worked out in the end except that it didn't fit!
@@judithfletcher287 oh what a shame about your swimwear but at least it gave you practice for your next one. I’d love to try making swimwear but slightly scary 😂
Sounds like you had a fantastic & productive time at the retreat 😊.
I’ve noticed that sometimes i don’t get notification of a comment and also I’ve had an email of one but when I try to answer it’s not there 🤷🏼♀️
@@Sewandsnip strange isn’t it, I wonder why?
@@lovesredsews who knows with technology 😂
Thanks for a very enjoyable blog, they are never too long for me. Love the things you made at camp and the items you picked up look really lovely, that Jacket is beautiful. Seeing your new fabrics has given me ideas …. 😊. Happy Sewing 🧵❤
@@Missymate thank you. Glad to have provided some inspiration 🤩
Great vlog - loved hearing about the retreat and seeing all your purchases.
Would you know what pattern the black & white top is you picked up from the swaps rail? X
@@sallyf2060 thank you so much. Unfortunately I don’t know what the pattern is, I’d love to know too but sadly it wasn’t labeled at all 🙃
Hi Claire. Noodlehead do a great sewalong for all the closures and how to fit them. I have my second bag ready to sew. Been cut out since last year! 😬. Where did you get your closure from? I’d like to use something like that. I bought the bag hardware. I don’t think i got a closure like that. I must have a look.
@@SummerRoomSewing Hi Anne, thanks for the info! I bought the turn lock closure from Amazon but it’s a Prym one. It’s called “Turn Clasp” & it’s 35mm
Just a little hint please don’t turn away from camera when giving information as I’m a bit deaf so didn’t get the name of the jacket pattern love it by the way 🥰🥰
@@eileentarrant9876 oooops, so sorry about that & thanks for the tip ☺️
How do we find out about Camp? Is it open to all?
