  • Guaranteed Profit with One Roll of Dice is a craps strategy from my Dice Advice series. In Dice Advice I will show viewer submitted strategies and roll them. In Season 2 Episode 4 I show the 6/8 Regression. This is a craps strategy that starts with a two unit place bet on the 6 and 8. If the 6 or 8 hits, those bets are regressed down to one unit and you now have a guaranteed profit for the shooter. Thank you to Derek Issler for submitting the strategy.

    Actually putting the various strategies to work on a table is a great service you provide. Thank you very much. i've been a watcher without any comments for a while now, and realized that i haven't told you how i feel about what you're doing for your site patrons. i think it's great that you articulate everything to the level you do. i'm a don't player myself, with a simulator package to help me make the decisions best for me. This site helps me narrow down what i think i want to do at the tables next time i go to a casino. Keep up the great work.

    As a dealer, if you are running low on cheques you can ask the player to hand over what you need. Instead of paying out that 2 dollars if your white stack is low, ask the player to drop 3 and you'll give him a $5 cheque. Keeps the game moving and the player feels good having larger denomination cheques being pushed to them. Some players thing you are making a mistake giving them larger cheques and are helping them out more than you really are......lol. Keep up the great work, Color Up!!!!!!!

    Saw a guy do something similar this on my last trip. He would go $320 across. After the first hit, he'd regress down to minimums across, then press and collect. Works great if the shooter can hit ANY place number. Of course, there were a lot of poor shooters at the table. He took a few to the chin with Point/7. Not sure how he ended up over all. I saw a few sessions where he was up and I saw a few rebuys. Great video as always!!

      That was me, I got killed. Fortunately, all the money I dumped at Craps was winnings from the Baccarat table. Last week I had 3200 across (+50 to buy the 4 + 10), hit 4 fours in a row. A thing of beauty. I tipped the dealers 25 on each of the Hardways and hit a hard 8 for them, so everybody was happy (for a change!).

    I use a similar strategy where I 6/8 regression down to an iron cross. $24 6/8. Hit once. Drop down to $12 6/8. Hit again. Add the 5. Hit again then add the field. Then ride the wave as long as you can.

    Big fan of regression. Here is what I like to do. Got it from my friend Gerard so have to call it Gerard’s Plan. $66 inside. $5 pass line (if shooting). Two hits. Down to $22 inside (all casino money!)Two hits. Take the $22 down and just ride out the pass line until 7 or point. Restart with $66 inside after point is made or 7 out. Would love to see you roll it out!

      I love it when people call money they've just won 'casino money'. Here's a hard fact that I'm sure you're already aware of but your terminology shows a certain lack of appreciation which only surfaces once you walk out the door flat broke with your pockets turned inside-out: That's YOUR money. You took it from them. You just couldn't hang onto it long enough to get out the door.

    $24 to $30 double press: come out with 2 green (you’re over paying $22), take two white chips from the 6 and stack it on the 8, give $22 leftover from the 6 to the boxman, size into the two green with two red chips from the 8, hand off the $16 (should be two red, six white) to the player. Set up $30 bets with the two green and two red.

    Not sure if you've covered the way I've seen and have done. Start the same but when you hit the 6 or 8, you bring them down to 12 a piece and place the 5 and 9, and I usually play more conservatively after that, I'll either hit and collect, or hit and bring whatever hit down to risk less. But I may try and press after hits and see how that goes. Either way, hit 1 time and you're golden, you're playing with house money and winning some on every hit, I like it

    Love your vids and the clarity, and honesty u do them w/. In this instance ( not because u rolled 4s repeatedly) if this strat is about creating the opportunity to play w/ the houses money, would spreading out be a better idea? Save 1$/ unit for same pay on 5,9. And really would have come up on 4s 10s. One thing most craps vids have in common- while I appreciate the lessons of continuing to roll out a strat, would it be wiser 2 play as if at casino, turn off after so many rolls or hits? It may expose the meat of this game- profit, fun, self control, instinct. How many times do we regret that "1 more roll?" Also the strategies may show in a better light, if folks stick 2 the plan. Love your work.

    I usually play like this when I first start, build my casino money bankroll, we typically play longer than we should, just because we have to drive 3 hrs to get to the casino, so this prevents big losses. I don’t go beyond 4 rolls for random shooters, seldom do they go beyond 4 rolls, so turning my bets off usually saves me money.

Cut out $60 overpaying the bet by $32 take one red and 3 white chips off the furthest from boxman. Add that to the other bet amd hand it to the boxman. The whole time announcing what your doing. Take the bet thats left and drop it off to the player($16) then just set up the $30 on 6 and 8 from the $60 that you cut out

    I have a question for Color Up first but would love to hear from all of the viewers as well regarding when to play full bets per se and to be EXTRA conservative.
    When I'm on a table (usually $10 - $25 Minimums) I typically do as little betting to no action when I'm not the roller. Is this lame, discourtious, disrepsectful? Or is it just smart?
    When I'm rolling I take a lot and I mean A LOT of the tips and tricks from Color Up (THANK YOU SIR) and with this knowledge along with a bit of dice setting and soft hands, I don't think I've walked away from a table with less than +$300 in a long time. (I know Color Up isn't much for dice setting but it truley works for me). Just curious what you all thought about being so frugal with bets until you are the roller. Thanks!

    Betting $44 inside would have much the same risk vs. reward, but more fun with four numbers covered instead of two. With $44 inside, after two hits, take down the 5 and 9, and that gets the same result.

    I have been doing a variation of this for years. The key difference for me is that after the 5th roll I pull the 6/8 down to the table minimum. Until the next 7. If the table seems hot then I will push it to the 6th roll. If the table is cold I pull after the 4th roll.

    This run felt very much like my usual night. Every number I want to see are few and far between while everything else hits and then the seven, though it got a little better. Also I always do a whirl bet on the come out $5 usually but if it's a good night I drop $25 and when those 3, 2, 12,or 11s hits it's a good way to recoup some of the place bets but it's still a risk.

      I like the regression part. But then keep pressing for 4 more hits before really collecting...not going to happen much. I guess its a long ball strategy, breaking even and positioned well for home run roll. I should have kept my negative comments about regression play in a separate video.

    Shortcut for pressing the 6 and 8 one unit from 24 to 30 is tricky to explain but I'll try. Bring out 60 (2 green 2 red)and stack it. Take the bet from the 8, drop a single red, size into the stack of 60 and that'll be their change (16). Give the remainder to the box and snap the 60 and that's 30 each. That's the best I can do to explain it haha

    • @mikewhite735
      @mikewhite735 Рік тому

      Your going to need 2 greens to complete the pressing, so pay 50 for 22. Put 50 in the come, pick $2 off of the place bet and drop it on the other place bet, then hand the $22 to the box saying 50 for 22. Then pick $16 off of the remaining place bet and hand that to the player. You have $10 in red and $50 in green. Redistribute as needed to achieve $30 each.

    When I'm not shooting, my only action is a $24 6&8. I always press to $30 on the first hit. So if you hit you have $24+$24+$28=$76. I'm not a dealer, but I have noticed the dealers typically just hand me $16, and color up the $30/$30 on their own. I assume they are doing that simple math in their head. I know the trick for fully pressing the 6 or 8 by themselves is to hand the "cap" to the player, and stack the win on the bet. So on a $12 6 or 8 that pays $14, you hand the player the $2 cap, and place the $14 on the $10 still remaining to go to $24. This tricks works as high as you want to take your bet I believe.

    After playing craps for two years and seven days a week, I rarely ever saw any dice shooter roll long enough to press their bets up this way and walk out with a profit on a daily basis. Based on what I have seen at a local crap table and on a daily basis, would be to get one hit on either the six or the eight and then to have the dealer knock your bets down to $22 inside on the 5,6,8,9. That gives you a much better edge against the house.

    Hard to explain how to press both from 24$ to 30$ each (better to see) but... you take 50$ from the bank, take 2$ from one of his bets, put it on top of the other, keep the rest of that shortened bet in the bank. Cut the other one to the 50$ (to keep 10$ from it), hand to the player the rest of that bet and go ahead and put those 30$ bets on the line.

    I have a good strategy i like to use at the table. I call it the 6/8 Stretch. I usually have to play at $15 dollar tables here in Philly. Sometimes i can find one for $10 but that's rare. I start with a $400 bankroll. I throw down $40 dollars to have the 6 and 8 placed for $18 each. Its all based on feel but usually i work the come out rolls.
    When one of the numbers hit, i full press and throw down $3 extra to have the 6 and 8 up to $30 each. After my second hit, I add $1 to the winnings and stretch my bet to $96 across (which will be the minimum on each number). After each winning roll i FULL PRESS everything and with any change that is left i save it for a $4 Horn bet. After 5 winning rolls of the $96 across take your bets down and wait for the shooter to either 7OUT or Hit their point and start back over at $40. I would love to see this rolled on your channel.

    Question,
    Can you place a passline / don't pass bet AFTER the point comes out? For example,
    Say I didn't place any bets yet, then shooter rolls a 4 for the point, statistically, a 7 will have a much greater chance coming out. Wouldn't it be smarter to place a bet on don't pass AFTER seeing the point?
    Another question, can you remove your passline / don't pass AFTER seeing the point as well?

    • @ColorUp
      @ColorUp  4 роки тому +1

      It would be smarter to place a don't pass after a point is set, BUT that is why it is NOT allowed. The pass line and don't pass must be bet before a point is set with the come out roll. After a point is set you cannot remove your pass line bet. It is a contract bet. The player has the advantage for the first roll, so the casino requires you leave it up, so they gain back the advantage and have a chance to win your money. The Don't pass can be removed, because after the come out roll, the player now has the advantage, so the casino will gladly allow you to remove the bet. But you should never do that...I have a video that explains why "Never do this"

    I have a dumb question, bare with me. (new to craps) Why do you bet $24 each on 6/8 instead of say $25 or $20? You lose $.80 when it wins, right? (6/5 odds, correct?)

    • @ColorUp
      @ColorUp  4 роки тому

      No, place bet pays 7:6 on the 6/8 so you bet in increments of $6. The “free odds” bet behind a pass or come bet on 6/8 pays 6:5 and in that case you would bet in amounts of $5

    • @ColorUp
      @ColorUp  4 роки тому +1

      Well you would need to make the pass line bet before the come out roll and the point is determined. Technically you are allowed to make a late pass line bet, but thats a terrible idea. If you want a third number at that point, just place bet another number.

I am so confused with what strategy I should be doing and how much I should bet because at western village in Reno they will let you out anything down and just underpay you if it is not the correct amount. You really should play the iron cross for a few rolls then switch to the DC. Thi system sucks balls, much better to play 24 on the six 24 on the eight and 30 on the five. Place 25 on the field. Try to squezze three or four rolls then take all your bets down. Then put 5$ on the DC and max the odds out parlaying your winning for the iron cross to the dark side. That way you can win on the place bets and win when the seven rolls all in the same roll.

    • @ColorUp

      Sounds great unless....the 7's come early...or after switched to the dark side points keep getting hit. There is no perfect strategy, just depends on how the dice roll.

    Ok, hold up....this is a bad gambling philosophy. First off, most rollers will 7 out in 4-6 rolls, I don't care how good you think you are, even if you are a dice setter (which I believe is the better way to throw). The better way to regress is to put your money on the place bets once you have analyzed how the thrower throws. If he/she is random throwing from the end of the table, you may as well just hand your money to the dealer and walk away. If they are at SL 1/2 or SR 1/2 and setting their dice, they are the people you want to gamble on. Once you decide who is worthy of gambling on, place a sizable amount of money across all place bets. If they hit a number, regress down significantly, ex. 360 across down to 96 across, you will lock in a decent profit immediately. Keep that bet for 3 more hits. Regress down to 32 across and let it ride. OR, just pull your bets. The short game is the answer. Of course, there is ALWAYS the chance that the roller 7's out on the 1st throw, usually anywhere from 20-30% of the time, but the odds are in your favor if you choose your roller wisely...instead of just putting your money down on any random roller, like 98% of everybody does. Be disciplined...not greedy. Greed will kick your ass every time in craps.

    I don't get the point of playing with the chips up and down. #1 if you are playing with a table of players, they and the dealer are not going to appreciate this. To begin with, the first $50 to bet 24 twice, why not just bet $25 twice. On average you are going to roll a 7 on 1 to 10 rolls and you lose double the money, how long will it take to just roll a 6 or 8 before you throw a 7. Sorry I'll watch but I won't be playing this.

    I like this but here is what I would do differently:
    My SBR - Starting Bankroll - would be $1200 for 10 shooters.
    I would have $60 EACH on BOTH the 6 and 8.
    I would NEVER have them working on the come-out roll and would just WAIT until the shooter establishes a point!
    NO NEED to be GREEDY or IMPATIENT!!!!!
    1 hit will pay $70 for either number, and then I would IMMEDIATELY take them down to $12 each, so you make a $46 profit RIGHT AWAY, and to me this makes MORE SENSE than a MEASLEY and RIDICULOUS $4 profit!!!
    Then ALL I would do is FIRST COLLECT and then PRESS, and KEEP doing this for WHICHEVER number hits, and then I would do this for a TOTAL of 4 times PER shooter and then call my bets OFF, and then wait for that shooter to either make their point or seven-out. Then when either takes place, do the same thing for either the SAME shooter - if they made their point - or the next shooter, until I lose from a seven-out, and then start over with the $60 EACH for BOTH numbers with the next NEW shooter and then just keep REPEATING this process!
