The only theory I believe in is the basket theory....but yes, i do like a narrow epiglottos and not a big round one that is pulsating and maybe a little deeper down in the throat. If a fancier however starts talking eye sign theory, sorry due to all respect to the eye sign people I cannot take him serious on any other thing he says in regard to pigeon racing.
Which drawing you referring to and what work? Drawings I got from stock photos on Google images the content from experience and various fanciers . I'm happy to give him any credit if it is due this is not a monetized channel it is there for all pigeon fanciers to enjoy

I this theory by belgium fancier's may be a tactic of selling like eye sign :P to evaluate throat , birds has to 10 feather moult complete, should not stressed, should not sick, don't open or less etc etc :) with that much variable, only one can qualify who has birds developed genetically for him :P so spend money to get them :)
It isn't a belgium fanciers theory. This is a much more detailed subject with only part shown here with visual material taken from Dr Colin Walker's website The Australian Pigeon Company. The much revered Avian veterinary trainer & pigeon keeper for over 4 decades. The man is a genius & helped us save many lives of all species of birds.
