RizenLink not they, he lived happily ever after for eleven days, the princess however played mommy n daddy with jaafar without him for sometime hahahaha
I have so many good memories from this game, having played it more than 20 years ago, during the first gulf war. I was a fourth grader, in Israel, and we got about 4 months with no school because of the war. This was one of my favorite passtimes back then. I don't remember whether I finished it "decently" or used the cheat codes. I do remember it was a lot of fun. Thanks for this cool video!
Yeah that's a good level. 'The Fat One' as me and my bro's used to call him was always fun to practice my advanced sword fighting ('Fat One Tactics') with lol.
This game is pretty epic, was part of my childhood, when he was playing my first computer, great to see this game after almost 10 years, congratulations and thank you for bringing this game to youtube, I left my like and added to my favorites
this game is one of the best I've ever played in my life I always get tired of playing nowadays games, but I'll never get tired of playing classics like this one. Your vid is going to help me to beat this game cause I never could... THANKS
I remember the night we finished this game "and by we I mean my sister while me and my brother watching" we stayed almost to dawn and it was really tense. Anyways...25 years later I found out I can actually save the game and it does have a menu with options and i can exit the game instead of restarting the computer
So excited to see this video clip, I have played and finished this game in one week 20 years ago and I have explored all the map at my age of 14. That was such a great game that I played it on my first PC- IBM 286, so much fun, so much memories. Thank you for sharing
Props dude. haha. this was one of the sweetest games I ever played. Amazing how you did it in 1 life...I also love how u never bothered fighting unless there was one of those metal slicer things, in which case u would make it a point to have the opponent slain most gruesomely.hehe
The mirrored self used to always kill me when he appeared in the second to last screen. I could never figure out what to do there. I, finally, gave up and started to have a life without ever knowing how it ended. I am SO frikken happy to have seen this video. Thanks.
Heavens man I never seen such a blazing through this game I played it and couldn't get past anything...and here you do it so flawlessly....I tip my hat to you for such a fine speedrun dude keep up the awesome job. ^_^
This is simply awesome!!!!!! This is exactly what i needed to see, all the levels in one speed......thank u for posting! Excellent job! I wish playing this game was this fast too....Melody
You don't collect big lamp on 3rd flor. And let lives most of enemys. You're real prince. I'm not so gentle for them. Nice to look someone complette the game without cheat (just like me). I was wanted to play again, but great that I can just watch. It's bring me memories. Thx man.
Okay. Known tricks. Level 1: two ways to skip the sword. the really fast way involves two perfectly times leaps. the other way is to lure him and go around. Level 3: leap over the skeleton, back off the ledge and grab. Level 4: you can trick the guard into advancing onto the swotch and skip the whole goig left bit entirely. Level 12: there is a warp trick. do a two tile running jump left and grab at the right spot to warp to the top! A true speed run will collect zero potions. :)
omg this game was the first ever i played in my long gamer life. So happy to finally see the end of this game, i remember spending hours and hours playing this on my Amstrad, good job for this video it makes me nostalgic ;)
Great video! Prince of Persia is truly a classic. Wish i was that good! I remember playing it for the first time at a green-colored monitor from my uncle, who had a PC-XT! After that, i could play in colors at some 286´s and 386´s. That´s a real challenging game very well made and you have to get to know every inch of the stages for finishing it.
I started playing POP on an emulator just out of curiousity because I wanted to know how the game looked like but I never would have played it to the end to be honest. Thanks for posting this vid!!
Wow! you really have good command of the game. I remember playing endless hours back in the 90s on my old 486 pc. I never managed to complete it fully. Always ended at around the 9th or 10th level. You must have a good memory. Great Job!
I never managed to finish this game when I was 6 .) Than you very much for sharing this awesome game and play. No games as enjoyable as Prince of Persia exists today with millions of dollars budgets.
WOW! thank you! This was the ONLY game i ever played and loved on my first computer in 1990. it was awesome. Played it out of a single floppy! i wold kill all guards and loved the it to bits. i have not played any other game ever. At 37 now your vid took me back into my upstate NY room down to the snow falling outside and books waiting for the test next day at school! boy those were the days.
I adored this game, played it when I was a student. Got nightmares from it in the weeks when I was preparing to travel from Europe to China overland via Iran. Travelled through the real Persia, thus making the link to the real world. Since then I have been traveling instead of playing computer games, but watching this brings back wonderful memories.
i totally know what you mean. back in the day, i used to play starwing in super nintendo. i played on and on, and after a while, i had a feel for it as you said. it was pretty much second nature to me. i knew exactly where the enemies would come from, and i knew the controls so well that i could maneuver around almost effortlessly
As stated in the comments in the first 15 seconds of the video - to fit inside the 10 minute restriction of youtube. i also think it lends itself better to more people watching it from start to finish as it doesn't last so long. there are points in the game where not a lot happens and the footage being sped up means these parts are over quickly.
That was very impressive. I remember when I used to play this as a kid, I don't think I ever even got past the 4th level, and you make it look so easy.
sweet! there was a demo version of this game on an old pc in my previous school. hell of a lot of fun playing this along with other classics like bubble bobble
well done.. I remember at 1:56 The first time I played I was looking for a way to continue for quite some time till I realised you just have to jump to the right.. good old times
OMG!!! I thought this didn't exist anymore!!! I used to sit on my Dads HUGE computer as a child and try and pass all the levels. But could never make it to level 2 because it asked you a question to do with the book you got with it, but i lost that along time ago. Does anyone else remember this as a child? Oh the memories :)
Помнится мое терпение в прохождении этой игры ограничивалось 3-4 уровнями, так как дальше я ничего не запомнил бы, а тут такое!!! WOW It is outstanding!
I used to try to play this on my cousin's computer when I was really young. I couldn't get very far, but I remember thinking it was fun. :) Great speed run! Doesn't matter how old it is, it still looks very, very difficutl. :p
If you keep going up at 8:02 you can save a few seconds and do the 8:07 jump earlier (start running to the left then turn to the right and jump, it gives you just the boost you need to reach the other side.
Mate, that's the game of my childhood :)) nicely done here! Gratz! I remember spending long hours doing all that and getting killed numerious times... dunno why but the skeleton seemed a real danger back then, same as the fat guard not to say anything about Jaffar ;) Thanks for memories :)
And THANK YOU! I've always wondered if you skip trying to get the potion on Level 5 (3:22) if that meant you wouldn't get a health point when you absorb The Shadow on level 12... I never dared to skip that potion to find out, it's SO far apart! Now I know you get a point no matter what! You DO skip the extra HP on Level 7 though... At 4:15 you need another leap of faith, instead of climbing. Level 9 ANOTHER HP at 6:11 (no, not the green potion, past that). Other than that, AWESOME!
This game was so freakin' ridiculous! You had to memorize so much and do all the fights perfectly (and jumps) otherwise you had to restart if memory serves me correctly. Man, those old games were brutal. Still, picking up that sword and dueling "the purple guy" was so much fun :). I wondered what the toughest colour was, now I finally know: ORANGE!! Cool
Cool man. I really enjoyed that. Used to play it on my PC when I was a kid. This brings back memories. When games used to be different and original and hard. Nowadays it's only what sells. :(
This was one of the first game I ever played (frogger was the very first one xD), addicting but awful hard for me back then... never got past 2nd level I think... thanks for making this vid :)

Thanks for the video! I wanted to remind myself about a game I played about 15 years ago.
thanks for reminding us by those lovely free old days :) i loved that game soooooooo much.... i even call my mobile Prince of persia as blue tooth device till Today :)
Wow..I and my father used to play this game 10-15 years ago...and we never finished it :) thanks for this great video, because now i know the end of the game, at last :)
lo gane!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! después de un mes de intentarlo, al fin lo logre. obvio todos mi agradecimientos son para vos por que me ayudastes con tu video a resolver las diferentes situaciones...
@itwasagoodyear. you see him earlier in the game at 4:35 when the Princess sends the mouse into the dungeon to help the prince. the next time you SHOULD see the mouse is around 5:22 when it comes to press the button to open the gate that the prince SHOULDN'T have time to get through. But as you see I am quick so I don't need him lol.
I've played this game also many times. Nice to see you're a very advanced player (without mouse @ level 8 ;-); and without killing the men in the fights). But there 's a shorter way to go @ 4.04 (level 7); You'll have to go to the room above and go near (but not whole) against the wall on the right. You'll take a sprint and a jump (while running) to the left. Probably you fall into the fence behind the wall in the room @4.04. You'll just lose one live then.
I remember... It was one of my first games on my Nintendo... I was 7 or 8 years old back there and of course it was mad hard for me to beat this game! Good Times....
Since it's the princesses palace, the guards and traps were stationed in the palace to protect her from any harm. The traps were there also to prevent robbers and other such criminals.
Good run. Love this game (the pc version). think ive finished the game over 100 times. This was the only game i had on my fathers computer back in 1993-94. Even though I tried to finish the game as fast as i could, I always had to drink that thing that made the screen go upside down. that was do cool back then. hehe
brings back childhood memories!! thanks for this awesome video!! i used to use cheats to complete this game haha i think u had to write megahead in DOS and that would give u infinite life, infinite time and slow motion falling at anytime! ;)
@shizzuzzino89 If you're not speedrunning the game, when you first pass under him, if you do the slow walk while passing under him then exiting to the right, he will remain turned to the left when re-entering this screen from the right, leaving you plenty of time to draw your sword.
20 years ago, being on the vacation, we with my friend played the game 8 hours a day entire month. naturally, after this month we memorized every step Prince have to do :) btw, another game on which i lost many moths, is Doom1 - i can go through almost any level here starting it with 50 bullets
I just decided to reinstall Prince on my comp. Couldn't get it to work at all (even with DOSbox in windows) so I installed strangely lol, DOSbox on Ubuntu and it works fine there. I keep getting to level 8 and failing. Good to see what you did :P
I know there were thousands, but for the games like this one it was a really big deal, especially for me! I was 13 when i first completed the game and i was like "I can die happy now"!
I have fond memories of playing this on my Macintosh with my brothers. We found it such a hard game to play, very difficult for us, but still fun to complete each level painstakingly! :D
I only had to keep the sword in the 12th level for pass my shadow and fight to Jafar and save the princess!!! Ten years ago I didn't know... =( Great video and Excelent game!!!
Wow you're good! I could never get past level 5 so I went back to peeling potatoes. Hehe! It's funny how fast he moves. Makes it look like a speedy cartoon.
Good job. It took me 3 minutes more in my speedrun than you to finish the game. There is a hidden shortcut in level 11 at time 7:21, when you fight the guard dressed in purple/blue uniform, you can crash the cieling and climb above it and then run over him and the saw-shaped-trap. Furthermore, you could dodge the skeleton-fight in level 3 by a jump and then simple position-change, you didn´t have to make the skeleton fall and change the position after the jump down. But still good job!
On level 10, you can actually get straight to the second guard on the third floor by making silent steps (shift+->), thus keeping him look left, and knock him off the stories with a hit from the third floor.
Spectacular! I have played this game for many years and never finished him.
Hahaha im surprised no one found you here for 10 years 😂
Wow, I saw this after 10.5 years! And this is that lord musician I followed, such a small world.
@@DOSSTONED my mother show me this game when i had 6 years old. Now i am 25.

Much funnier with these sounds :D
yeah, all slaps and whistle sounds.. ^^
I have absolutely no idea how this video was in my suggestions but I'm glad it was. I haven't played this since I was a kid!
Love the game, but I always wondered: How come the "Prince of Persia" is a blonde?
So it contrasts with the backgrounds
persians used to be blond before arabs mixed with them. they are from the aryan race
Colonialism.
And why he is wearing pajamas?
