UFC Fight Nights have been terrible in 2024. Considering how big the UFC roster is with the amount of potential for a solid fight night, there isn't an excuse for mediocre fight nights that we frequently get. I went through every weight class and picked 3 solid potential fight night main events as well as a venue location - Спорт

well.. you're gonna watch so the whining is pointless, but look at the ppv cards coming up.. 304 is stacked, 305 is shaping up to be pretty stacked, and the Sphere card will absolutely be stacked, focus on that rather than complaining.. that's why these cards aren't stacked

ppl don't understand that sometimes we have to get lackluster Fight Night cards in order to get cards like UFC 300.. we can't have stacked Fight Nights every single week, it's just not possible

Definitely not, as Hopper just proved. Gambling allows for shit cards, otherwise the UFC would actually have to sell a decent product.

i took a look at the upcoming cards and i was boutta cry, that shit is horrible
look at all the stacked ppvs this year. i do agree with a lot of the fights here but theres so much fighters on every ppv that could main event a fight night, and with many fighters that arent as active as alex, it makes it so much harder to make good fight nights. plus i imagine that a lot of the top 5 or maybe even top 10 guys want to fight in a ppv instead. then theres fights that the ufc definitely want to take advantage of for more ppv buys, like jdm vs ian garry or aldo vs cruz.

The roster is so bug there’s bound to be people who aren’t interesting to watch because we don’t know them. But they stack these fight nights with unpopular people even in the main event and its annoying

Ditch ESPN, cancel half of the crappy fight nights and merge them together. But that will never happen, so just deal with it

It's easy to play matchmaker without to consider if a fighter is injured or maybe the fighter doesn't want to fight at this time/or against a certain fighter or if you have the resources to do as you wish.
Most people are complaining about woman headlining a fight night or are on a ppv main card and have no interest to see unranked fighters headlining a main event or to be on a ppv maincard.
you have 8 men weightclasses if you take the 15 ranked fighters(+1 unranked)you could make 8 fights,8 fights x 8 weightclasses is 64.some fighters have 3 fights/Year but a lot of fighters have only 1,the most have 2,so the average is 2 fights/year for a ranked fighter,64 fights x 2 are 128 fights/year.
128 fights : 12 month are 11 fights(rounded up) with ranked fighters per month.
So you have about 11 quality fights (per month) to your disposal.
Normally you have 1 ppv and 2-3 fight nights so you need 5 quality fights(with ranked fighters) for the ppv and 2-3 quality fights to headline the fight nights which means you need 7-8 fights but keep in mind people are complaining about a ppv without at least 1 quality fight on the prelims and complaining about a fight night without 1 or 2(at least) additional quality fights(with ranked fighters).
Then you have to consider at least 3-6 quality fights (in a month )get cancelled and you have to consider many people don't even want certain ranked fighters to headline a fight night/to be on a ppv main card(people complained about Lewis-Nacimento,Rozenstruik vs Gaziev,Dolidze vs Imavov,Perez vs Nicolau,Song vs Guiterrez,Tuivasa vs Tybura as a fight night main event and about many fights with ranked fighters on a ppv main card)+ some ranked fighters are considered as boring(not for me)and most peopla don't want to see them neither even if they are ranked quality fighters.
If you take all this into consideration it is impossible to please most of the UFC fans and especially not the casual fans who only know 5-10 fighters per division .
