- This 218cm Tall Volleyball Player is Unstoppable !!! Dmitry Aleksandrovich Muserskiy (Russian: Дмитрий Александрович Мусэрский) (born 29 October 1988) is a Russian volleyball player of Ukrainian descent, member of the Russian national team and Japanese club, Suntory Sunbirds. 2012 Olympic Champion, 2011 World Cup winner, 2013 European Champion, and multiple World League medallist. Muserskiy is among the world's tallest athletes.
Muserskiy began playing volleyball at the age of 8 under the guidance of Boris Osnach. In 2006 Muserskiy defended the colors of the junior national team. On 4 June 2010 in Yekaterinburg, in his first match for the Russian national team against USA in the FIVB World League Muserskiy scored 13 points and became the best scorer of the Russian team that day. In 2011, with his national team, he won the FIVB World League and the FIVB World Cup.

Muzersky not playing for the Russia’s NT was saddening for the fans. He was heavily criticized for that. But it was understandable due to his injury. And Japan’s top tier team not participating in AVC due to scheduling conflict was also disheartening. But right now, seeing a Japanese team in Club World Champs is such a joy to watch. I wish more teams can play in this tournament. Though I would say that I am a fan of Sada Cruzeiro. Love from 🇵🇭

Remember at the 3rd set of London Olympics, Brazil is few points away from Gold medal but Coach Vladimir Alekno made Musersky an open spiker from being a MB and Russia went on to beat Brazil. That was unforgettable. So heartbreaking for Brazil yet so inspiring for Russia.

Brazil thought they would win, russians were down to two set and brazil having score advantage, until they put the BIG MAN in opposite, put mikhailov in open, apolanov in middle. And everything falls down in brazil side. And the rest is history. Russians won that match

Very unfair that Polish club Zaksa K-K ignores this tournament. They do not recognize a huge volleyball potential in this country.. They could learn from India something- to make volleyball screen fans friendly
Their schedule were too busy and have just recovered from their player injuries so they didn’t accept the inv
They informed on decision to ignore this event, if I am not mistaken, almost immediately after announcing where this tournament would take, place.
@@manK2022 just the timing ain’t great probably both Zaksa and wegiel probably feel it’s too risky to play with injuries and a pack schedule with their individual league, cup game and the cev cl and probably too much travel

@@manK2022mostly of zaksa player r literally just made up of polish nt they just play the vnl and Olympic qualifiers. And just had a small time for rest recovery don’t be a hissy fit cause the physio want to look after their own players. Playing a different side of the country has a lot of paperwork, vaccines and travel costs wise. The sunbirds didn’t have to play the avc men championship so they had more time to prepare, same with the 2 Brazilian club doesn’t play the cev cl just respect the club not playing and watch the game instead
