    Thanks for the great video / videos. We have a corner in the front yard under a large maple where the Kanjiro Camellia will work well to block a busy street and give the right amount of shade. I bought five after watching this video. To give the plant room to grow, what distance from a metal spindle fence would you recommend planting? Would 2 - 3 feet work? Thanks!

    • @OutdoorInspirations
      @OutdoorInspirations  3 роки тому +3

      Glad to hear! So the Kanjiro will grow up to 10 feet wide at maturity- so ideally it will be planted 5 feet away from the nearest obstruction. Now you can mitigate this with pruning- keeping it narrow-er as it grows allowing you to plant it closer, but that is more maintenance/upkeep. Others that have a nearby obstruction will 'limb' up Camellias in order to allow them to be close at the base, while growing out larger further up where space is more open.

    Would love to see you add pet safety to your score card. I've read that Holly, Yew, Nandina and Acuba are all poisonous for pets. Would love to get info on shade shrubs that are not harmful to pets.

    Obviously you only picked a few but I love osmanthus goshiki. Can grow in any situation and is more colorful in more sun. Also any of the Mahionia species or Korean boxwood. One thing you did not include is deer tolerance

      Those are some awesome plants! Thanks for your insight! We have actually planned to have a dedicated video for deer tolerant plants sometime soon. Subscribe to the channel so you can check it out when it comes.

    Can you plant these in zone 5? Northern Illinois Indiana. Thanks

    • @OutdoorInspirations
      @OutdoorInspirations  3 роки тому

      I believe most on this list can make zone 5 the camellia variety may need to change to suit- check your local nursery for direction- here is a zone 5 plant listing we found www.gardeningknowhow.com/garden-how-to/gardening-by-zone/zone-5/planting-zone-5-shrubs.htm

    Are the birds attracted to the red berries of the Nandina Domestica Shrubs? Also, since they are in the Bamboo Family, are they prone to spread?

    • @OutdoorInspirations
      @OutdoorInspirations  Місяць тому +1

      Yes birds eat these, luckily they only eat small portions so there is not a problem with the berry toxicity and yes domestica nandina will multiply and self-propagate

    I understand that Nandina is invasive and the red berries are poisonous to the birds. What are your thoughts on that?

    • @OutdoorInspirations
      @OutdoorInspirations  2 роки тому +1

      Yes indeed, should have mentioned that- berries are extremely toxic to most animals

  • @umiluv
    @umiluv Рік тому

    Are any of these native?

  • @janethayes1908
    @janethayes1908 Рік тому +1

    Is that not the invasive nandina?? Not trying to be mean, just asking.

    • @OutdoorInspirations
      @OutdoorInspirations  Рік тому

      Yes this Nandina variety will eventually spread out and grow new seedlings as part of the Bamboo family. Some like the spreading, others will pull or spray these new shoots as they pop up.

    Hi Investor Relation,
    I was surprise to find out that Mint payment was delisted from the ASX. I need for you to answer the following questions.
    How can I sell my mint payment shares now they are delisted? Is the small parcel offer still available of 0.02 cent of my 6,000 shares.
    When am I going to receive some information from mint payment detailing my amount of shares under the delisted arrangements.
    If you can provide the above information that will allow me to make an informed decision on what I can do with my mint payment shares.
    Kind regards

    Angela Angelis
