I mostly buy bread. Vegetables and fruits at Costco with some fresh meat. My bill is no more then $300. I don’t buy the processed stuff .. that’s what jacks up the bill..my cart was a bottomless pit when I kept putting the processed stuff in my cart. I stopped and the bill went significantly lower.I have started to make my food from scratch rather then ready made.BTW…. Your videos are a breath of fresh air.
I live in BC and the closest Costco to me is over an hour away where my daughter lives so usually once a month she comes for a visit and brings me odds & ends from Costco 😃 ( usually dog treats 😂 )
Given the cost of living issue (we're experiencing this in the UK), $600 CAN for a family doesn't seem that out of line. Things are more expensive now, what supply chain problems, labor shortages, etc. It's just me and my partner, and I've also noticed that our grocery bills are higher.

$600 is a lot of money...maybe if you did not buy so many "convenience" foods and went back to cooking more from scratch you could lower that bill.
I’m afraid you are correct ☺️
