Haven't seen this since it was run. A storming last half mile and every bit as exciting as I remembered it :)

Cauthen said when he checked off heels he had to get into her earlier than he wanted. That along with proper quick ground, did for her.

Wrong Mr Julian Wilson. On any other ground, day or venue Oh So Sharp WINS over Petoski 100% GUARANTEED That rock hard ground was what made the difference IMO and I'll stand or fall by that statement

The best filly of the latter half of the century, along with Pebbles. ..I rem my heart beating out of my chest upstairs in my bedroom screaming for Oh So Sharp ! Even when I watch it these days I scream for her to stretch and win... after this race I was totally hooked . Esp as it was only a fortnite earlier that Pebbles became first filly to win the Eclipse , then this epic King George v1 , onwards to the benson an hedges gold cup (matchmaker international) where comanche run would further dent Sharps record.... and then of course finally the Reckoning @newmarket Dubai Champions day is etched in the memory where co.manche met his Waterloo... and we all know what happened at the breeders cup turf 85! Pebbles was crowned... must never forget what Oh So Sharp achieved though hasn't been equalled since

She was a very good filly but beaten fair and square on the day. Julian Wilsons view was she didnt stay but she won the St Leger later that season.

@@geordieman100 Very true, Julian Wilson is just making excuses, Petoski made up a good amount of ground and it wasn't a case of Oh So Sharp not staying, but she was a very good filly without any doubt.

@@nightowl7459 I though he committed her too early and that's how she got tired.
