- April 2023: We compare the closely priced variants of the Hyundai Verna S and the Honda City V to find out which one of the two cars you should buy. This video will help you pick one car between these as Team V3Cars give you a clear-cut answer after comparing their respective variants in detail.
Hyundai Verna S is priced at Rs 11.96 Lakh and Honda City V is priced at Rs 12.37 lakh. The prices mentioned are ex-showroom.
Hyundai Verna is available with 1.5-Litre Normal Petrol Engine that makes 115PS of maximum power & 144Nm of peak torque. Honda City is available with 1.5 Litre Petrol Engine that makes 121PS of maximum power & 145Nm of peak torque. Both cars come with manual transmission.

Koreans tend to prioritize aesthetics and interior design, while Honda (a Japanese brand) places a strong emphasis on quality and performance. Therefore, one might argue that Honda emerges as the clear winner in terms of these attributes.
I love your channel and I really wanted to see your POV of City vs Verna. My opinion, Honda still is the winner, design slightly dated, but Honda have a history of engine performance. Hyundai does have new design - jury is still out, but I haven't heard good things about the last version of Verna engines - not as well refined or lasting as a Honda

Thanks for the informative video, if we are looking for Automatic then Honda city V CVT is the clear winner, it offers connect car tech, ADAS, 5 star safety, better refined tried and tested engine and pricing is also around 70,000 less...thanks

Honda petrol 1.5L ivtec engine is very reputed and time tested in this segment, and fun to drive specially in its MT version.
I would go with v cvt model having rear parking camera, Adas, safety rating and excellent 1.5L petrol engine.
Though very much subjective, I don’t like new Hyundai badging on its bonnet.
(Please correct, V model has adaptive cruise control also).
I will go for city drive with Honda CVT V model.Presently owned Honda Amaze S and Grand i 10 spotz model from last 11 years and 7 years.👍🥰❤️🙏

ADAS means much better driving experience. A lot more resale value.
And city has a timeless design.
Sir I love your videos but I would like to suggest one thing. Leave the styling part or the looks of the car to the audience because not everyone will like what you like in terms of design or styling. Like many people don't like the design of new Verna.

Actually City VX doesn't make value sense. Only if you want a Sunroof and 16inches alloy. Alloy can be easily retrofitted. Paying almost 2 lacs more is not justified as V already comes with ADAS

I feel City VMT has an edge due to it's better must haves and technical features.
I would choose Honda city for ADAS and 5 star rating in Crash test.
@v3 cars Clearly will go for Honda City as super reliable I vtec Engine as we own Honda Amaze and now as the city comes with blue colour (even my current amaze is blue colour) i will go for The city 5th gen

Definitely Honda City because Verna must have been compromised on build quality just like Creta as always these Korean motors do to its cars for India.

I recently went to honda showroom to check out city zx.. frankly speaking halki build quality.
The bumpers at back were light which is expected as they are plastic, but then I pressed 2 more body parts bootlid and roof . They were light and pressed easily. It is supposed to be steel. What steel are they using? Haath lagake halka sa press kiya dab gaya.. bootlid and roof.
I am not saying ki skoda/vw are better just that overall build quality is going down...
I have still not made up my mind between skoda/vw/honda.
Verna seems good. But I don't like it's looks
City has honda connect with free 5 year subscription. Verna S doesn’t provide bluelink even in SX variant. This is also one major difference.
I will go for CITY for ADAS features
Most of the people are voting for City. I agree, City engine is good but it looks dated. I check both today & after this video, more confuse. Why shouldn't we go for style & shape like Verna ?

Having no rear camera and no electrically foldable orvms in a 14lakh car is a big disappointmet of verna and City on the other hand misses out on rear adjustable head rests
Verna prices are introductory, so ur price gap comparison is not justified as City price will not change post April ( as of today). Hence considering imp factor like Safety, City Rocks

Hyundai Verna only of they publish their Global NCAP Safety Ratings. Hyundai Creta, Grand i10 NIOS results were truly disappointing.

Honda City is much better than Verna because Honda City is very reliable and stable mostly in highways and Expressways it has more Engine power. Verna is not that stable but it has Engine power... So i will choose Honda City...👍👍👌👌

Changed my mind and bought the top end at the last minute. Each and every friend of mine is saying that I will regret not buying an SUV. Some even said that, I will regret buying a sedan.
If I were to buy I'd go for City because of safety as spending 15L for a 2* car is not worth for me
