I've never really understood what Cersei means by "I shall wear it like a badge of honour". I mean, how EXACTLY is it a badge of honour? It sounds good and all, but when it comes down to it, it makes no sense to me.
(in my opinion) she's proud of herself because she made him acknowledge her. robert only fights people who can pose a challenge (and he only fights with violence). he hits her because he finally sees her as an opponent, and that's a step towards the respect cersei wants

My interpretation of the line is that the operative word is “like” a badge of honor. She will display it openly for everyone at court to see, as if she were proud of it. She’s mostly just threatening to make Robert look like a wife-beater in public, a mostly empty threat in Westeros considering the average man’s behavior, but it’s the only open threat she can make in that situation and you know Cersei isn’t gonna pass up on opportunity to threaten someone

I think Ned always knew Robert wouldn’t exactly be a great husband, that was just how it went in Westeros so he didn’t object. Ned is pretty straightforward with the fact that he notices Robert’s flaws, he’s the only one who will be honest with him a lot of the time. Plus he already knew that Lyanna genuinely loved Rheagar, so he knew her feelings for Robert were complicated to say the least.

Why did Ned who was Lord of the north and has always kept a sizable household guard even in peace time go to then tower of joy with only 6 people (who were also nobles who would each also keep a personal guard).
the theory goes that benjen knew about rheagar and lyanna being married and it not being a kidnapping, he tells ned and then when ned sees robert kill all of rheagars babies and he knows his sister is maybe pregenant with rheagars baby so he would have taken only people who he 100% trusted to never tell anyone about what happened their. if he took his personal guard or allowed other lords to bring theres they most likley would have told someone and it would have gotten back to robert and he would kill eddards nephew jon snow.
