Glad it didn't happen while going too fast or too close to a busy road. I'm so emotionally attached to my boards, if one snapped on me I think I'd tear up
Bummer but at least you have an excuse for a new deck! I ride in the wet a lot but always take my deck apart and dry/clean I too am waiting for a waterproof version of the Pranayama!
The new trip might be a good choice but why not ask Pantheon boards for a discount since you have been doing such a great job of advertising their product. They are good people and have responded to my email quickly.
After riding the Pranayama now for as long as you have, which do you prefer? I'm deciding between the Ember and Pranayama. I'm 5'5", weigh about 140, and wear a size 8 shoe. I'd be using it mostly for commuting on streets and sidewalks, and would want to attach it to a backpack possibly. Any suggestions? Love your videos.
I will suggest Pranayama. It is more compact for carrying and stable for street crusing. Its structure should be more advanced and stronger than Ember too.
Hi Harry, I am living in HK as well. Considering getting 88 Mcfly 76a, Speed Vents 80a or Caguama 77a with Pranayama. Do you have opinion about wheels for HK's road situation? Thanks.
You may read this guy's test result from instagram.com/p/CZe21CupUDC/. For 85mm wheels, Speed Vent's formula is better than Caguama's. Since large wheel size is critical for smooth and safe city cruising, I will recommend McFly 86mm wheels. For choosing durometers, it is all about: 1. Durability High durability for hard wheels, low durability for soft wheels. 2. Grippiness Use hard wheels to slide, use soft wheels to carve. 3. Road condition you usually skate with To reduce rolling resistance, use hard wheels on smooth roads (bike path, square, park & court), and use the soft wheel on rough roads.
I think the new Ember is too long. After my Ember was broken, I bought a Pranayama for long-distance skateboarding. I have been skating it for at least 4000km (I really recorded 3000km in 1 year by Excel daily for fun :D). Pranayama is really good for pushing. However, I only use it for holiday long-distance trips now. In this year, I mainly use the Comet cruiser for daily commuting. I love small size cruisers since I tried it. If Pantheon makes a new smaller drop pusher, I will consider buying one. 😎
@@skate-horizons Yes, Comet Cruiser still has enough space for switching foots because of it top mount design. Since I take longboards in and out public transports, shops, and crowed streets everyday, small size deck really helps it.
That looks like dry rot guessing it got wet a lot? Dry rot happens when fungus grows from moisture. Dry your board if it gets wet or it gets weaker over time. If that didn't happen and it wasn't a hard crash or something drastic then contact Pantheon. The pranayama is a lot more weather proof and a smoother ride as is the new Ember eternal but it's not as much of a drop due to the polyurethane inside and a bit bigger longer I have the Pranayama and it's like a hoverboard and the perfect size without those useless(for me) kicktails the other variations have 😁
Pranayama is super fantastic. I love to ride it everyday. I have added resin on the edge for extra waterproof protection. I hope that I can keep riding it for a longer time.
yes, I really skated frequently during rainy days😂 Hong Kong is a rainy city in summer. Every time I went home after rainy ride, I just left it right outside the door without drying it... I am now using my previous Drop Cat 33. In the coming weeks, I may buy a new Pranayama deck and then install the Backfire's handle on it.
@@HarryLamHK cool. I do not live in such a wet climate, but I seal all the exposed wood on my boards with a waterproof polyurethane. It works well. I skated most days for the past 2 years and no problems (yet 😂) You’ll love the Pranayama, so smooth and liw

HKD 1125 / USD 144, included delivery charge. When I decided to bought my Ember, it had been EOL and not available from the Pantheon website. So, I bought it from another retailer. Yesterday, I have already ordered a new Pranayama deck😛 I am looking forward to it.
@@HarryLamHK are you recommend the new just start playing skateboard few days to purchase this one?sometimes want to enjoy easy ride instead of all tricks trainning. and which website can order? thanks.

@@HarryLamHK Congratulations on your new Pranayama 🎉 maybe thin soft vibration pads between trucks and deck would maintain the board's strength so it doesn't happen again?
Ah man that's so sad. I wept when your board broke. I hope you can cope , my skate friend.

The new Eternal Ember is totally waterproof btw!
I like the new design of waterproof, but the tail is a little bit longer than I expected. I may choice Pranayama for a shorter tail and easy hauling.
