I dunno about this one. Kate seems confused about who she is, as most teens are and rebellious to a fault. Doing some things just because she can and other things due to being knowledgeable and curious. She has grown up being a typical "preachers daughter" and THAT more than anything is probably her impetus to question everything. I know that in later stories, she turns her back on Lutheranism when she moves away and that was expected. I think she will experiment with girl on girl sex soon after going to college and decide she is Bisexual. I know this is a lot of conjecture but this story sure gave us a lot of hints of what her life will be in the near future. I thank you for your indulgence to my rambling 🤣
