I had to pull my car over and cry when I heard he died on the radio. That man could make you cry with that beautiful voice. I still am heartbroken about his loss.
Yes - that's why we need better healthcare systems... Thank God for the Affordable Healthcare Act a few years after Luther passed... At least we have his recordings. Merry Christmas to all!

I am a grown man. I have conceived kids listening to this man's music.im telling ya man this man can sing the yellow pages and women dropping they drawers and shit.
All I could say is that Luther's voice is a gift from God. I have seen so many talent singing shows and no one can come not even close to his voice. Luther's voice cannot be duplicated.
What a beautiful tribute to Karen Carpenter from as beautiful a singer as Luther Vandross. I play Luthers cds when I'm driving two and from where ever I'm going just to put me at ease with the world, then this song came on. I had to pull over so I could contain myself as the tears were just flowing and blurring my vision. I miss this guy so much, but thankfully his music lives on.
Could this man be sexier. No! And there is no way ANYONE could have ONE favorite Luther song. ALL of them are favorites. Needless to say, I cried when learning of this man's passing. I thought, MY GOD! We will NEVER hear another new song. What an incredible, unique voice. He owned it!
I seen Luther at Westbury music fair. I brought 2 tickets for each two different shows. First show I was stood up by someone. Yet I still went alone having the isle seat and the one next to me free. Luther came out and was talking and started to sing. STOPS starts talking. And says this is greater then this. Leaves the stage and said I'll be right back. Comes out in a red sequence jacket from the white sequence he first came out in. And the rest is just amazing love. God Bless and I gave the second show to someone whom always showed me the gifts we inherent here in life, among each other given, with out any return, other then before them the gifts of love, that is solely the gifts God, in which he gives.. his grace!
Experiencing this man sing live was something I will never forget. He sang to my 21 year old soul, I wasnt ready lol. Full adults screaming and crying....it was amazing. There will never be another.
This rendition of Superstar, and everything Luther has ever recorded, will always and forever fondly remind me of my ex wife. I miss the times we had and the love we once shared.
Luther transformed this song into heart felt sentiment. I think it is telling of the amazing talent to have the ability to take a song and recreate it as new.

Never forgot it...never quite got over it when Luther died at such a young age. He had so much more to give to this world. Rest softly, Luther......
Luther vandross is the reason I am a singer. My mom took me to my first concert at the rodeo in Houston when I was a kid and I heard his voice but couldn't see him. Ever since then I have been singing and I will never forget the feeling his voice alone gave me. I thank god for delivering him to us and sharing his gift with the world. RIP LUTHER VANDROSS.

I will NEVER hear this song too many times. Luther was so gifted and always enjoyed sharing his gift. He will always have a very special place in my heart.
The Mic and the Singer! This is something we are losing in music today. I'm not expecting another Luther, but damn just a singer that can stand up in front and just sing. Maybe the problem is this man Luther raised the bar so high it can't be reached. My God, I miss hearing him sing. Not one note off-key or at the wrong cadence even after ad-libbing just pure genius.
LUTHER! THIS MUSICAL GENIUS was one of a kind. I watch Luther with amazement each time I see him perform! NO ONE else could perform with such beautiful soulful singing. He touches the heart and soul of all who watch him sing from his own heart! May God bless Luther VanDross!! Luther - Sadly You left us all far too soon!
