I know some people love it and some people hate it. I actually quite like it unless I need to show something close up to the lens but that would be pretty rare.
Hmm.. Right now both the V3 and 4K are going for around the same price of $40..
The 4K looks like a better and overall great camera (in backlight comp and colors), but the worse omnidirectional-raw audio (no NR) turns me off from it. The V2 and V3 seem to both have great mics for picking up everything.
Though, I wonder if there is potentially better alternatives in June 2024 for what I want for my friend's low budget. The abundance of camera options is confusing me
$40 is a good price for either of these. I agree, there are so many webcams on the market that it's a minefield to find one which is decent, especially on the budget end.
I always recommend having a standalone microphone rather than the microphone on a webcam but if that isn't an option at the moment then these ones probably have the best inbuilt mics for the cheaper webcams I've tested. If you use OBS, the V3 has a little more control over the manual settings than the V2.
Hello Sir, I jst ordered the v3 by referencing ur video and i jst saw ur comment reply saying u would go for kiyo x, instead of these so now im confused as to did i made a good deal as im on a budget and both these cams are almost same in my country. Also pls let me knw this in comparison with Logitech c920 HD and wht do u recommend i most likely will use them for omegle and did i have to re-consider my payment i made for v3 ?? Thankyou ❤

I personally preferred the image on the Razer Kiyo X but the V3 was still decent.
I used to have the Logitech C920 webcam and always thought the image looked a little blurry.
I would wait until your V3 turns up and see if it does what you're looking for :)

@@yashdobra9154 I'm just looking back at the footage I've got saved for both webcams and to be fair the V3 performs better than what I remember :) I got some footage of me with ring lights in front of me and some coloured back lights behind and it looks good to me.

And yes once I have hands on I will Defo let you know how it turned out for me, but the way u have done the review and after this interaction, I'm pretty sure it's gonna be a killer deal. I will keep u updated on this one, I had one question, in comparing V2 vs V3 which gives a better video becoz I have seen when u were testing on auto mode the v2 actually in different lightning conditions gave better quality, and after manually configuring is it any better? I mean is it worth giving those extra dollars for the V3 version does it get better ? Thnx again to you mahn, u really helped me a ton, Have a good one❤

If I remember right, the V2 was pretty good, but the exposure couldn't be adjusted well using the manual settings.
I would always recommend manually configuring any webcam to suit you. Sometimes the auto settings are good enough for most people, but I personally like to play with the exposure slider as it usually gives a better image, especially if you're using ring lights.

Hello there, I hope you're well.
If they are the same price then I would go for the Razer Kiyo X personally. But if you need to use the microphone from the webcam then the Creative webcams allow you to remove background noise.
I always recommend having a stand-alone microphone rather than using the microphone on a webcam though.

i will admit the 4k does seem to be awesome, although i am never a fan of pale looking streamers! unless they are actually pale lol.
my colour on my webcam tries to make me look really pale, like i barely see outdoors - which granted i havent seen much outdoors for 3 years! lol.. but i am nowhere near as pasty as it makes me out lol.

I know i'm pretty pale but some of these webcams make it look a lot worse :) That's where I usually knock the saturation up just a little to bring some colour back to my face.

Do you know if the button for the fov adjustment in the v3 works without the program installed? In plug and play mode

Yes the button worked when I tested it out in Zoom, that was without having the Creative Smartcomms kit installed. It didn't work for us in OBS though which is a bit weird.

To zoom with the button you need to reduce resolution from 1440p to 1080p. Then it works in any software i.e. OBS.
