I got hours of trail footage I never used, thinking people would find it too boring to watch, and here you are with almost 2,000 views. I make a lot of bad decisions, lol. Thanks for taking us on your journeys! Can’t wait to get back out myself. 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
That's the good stuff, those potatoes. Speed is Slow, crawling slow, Gravel and small potatoes, give it the beans! Tires are BFG M/T Ko2 215x15. Thank You for watching Jr.!
I have a 76 baywindow but converted it into a overlander. Its got a 2l vw gearbox with a 87 3T toyota corolla engine. It run unbelieveble but my fuel consumption is a problem. Any sugestions? Rsa citizen
@@louisgouws5853 wow 😮 That sounds like fun! Not sure why you’re having fuel issues. It shouldn’t be a problem, your bus weigh is about the same with all the overlanding gear.
@@VintageOverlandAdventures My bus left factory on 11/28/58. Early '59. Left factory with US spec bumpers, delivered to Los Angeles. Ended up in Florida at some point, purchased from owner there. I spent a year going thru all mechanicals, it needed it. Running and driving great now, everything works as it should. Your bus adventures are inspiring! Be safe out there and keep the vids coming. Would like to see a video tour of your camping setup in cargo area. The sales flap works really well and seems practical as a camper. It looks like you're running a couple batteries and solar on roof rack? I have an overland setup in my Toyota 4Runner and could retro fit some items to my bus (Dometic frig, and misc camping equipment). I like the look of my Bias-ply tires, but the BFG tires are the way to go, and considering as a future upgrade. I'm getting ready to finish up the cargo area and may make provisions for a sleeping area. Thanks for the inspiration! E
Great videos of you driving around in an old splitty🤙 Can I ask what you have done with the suspension and engine.... I'm currently restoring a 62 bus and would love to do something like this.... Thanks & stay safe 🤙🤙
Thanks brother Bob! 1641 engine, 1600cc with big bore P/C’s, header, 90amp alternator, stock 1966 gear box, 1967 front beam w/ disc brakes. I have a walk around video featured on my channel check it out. Your ‘62 will be a blast to hit some dirt roads and adventure. ✌️

That’s a fun trail, Trailhead (34.3979537, -117.0543738) at the kiosk, loads of camping up top, horse springs CG has pit toilets/ no water.
Very cool drive up the hills. 👍
Shows us around your VW bus. 🙏
Great vids! I hope to drive some of these trails someday soon! LOVE the bus!
I like the Willy’s, as for the Bus all in two wheel drive. I pick the most level line. Seen you doing some yard work. To much fun! ☮️
What a great time!
Thanks Brother! Little scary SoLo.
Love to hear what speed and tires you have to deal with those potatoes in the road? Thanks for the adventure.

Yeah, I did know he was behind me.
I think your bus should be the rover for the next moon landing. Certainly proved itself.
