Crazy Fun, I heard that there was a "90mph Wind Gust Warning" on the radio for the High Desert out in the vicinity of Barstow California. So that sounded like a great adventure to me. I thought 90 mph is crazy, so off I went. The dirt starts at Calico Road and Mule Canyon Road (CM7630). I travel through some beautifully painted desert walls, and I wound up on West Phillips Drive ( Trial) to Kramers Arch. There was a nice little cove East of Kramer to hide in. Had to get out of the harsh wind for the night. Once I woke in the morning I knew the wind was here for the day. It blew hard all night long 50/70 mph gusts. After Coffee, I start my track out of the canyon, encountering some obstacles on the way. Kickback and Enjoy this one Folks!

That slope had me biting my nails!! 😬 The desert looks so pretty with all the green growth. I haven't seen it like that in a long time.
We did a family camping trip around 1976 at Calico. It was so windy!! Out of everything I remember from that trip, the wind is top on the list. Another great one, Mr. Reno! 😁✌

I think it's a 1776 in his bus now, but I get the sentiment! All my friends thought I was silly for running 6v, 36hp's in my bugs. My '59 S. African RHD would do about 60 mph floored. lol But it ran like a top and never broke down.

I do accidentally call the ground a floor, 8pm 8am. To many concussions in my youth. Some episodes are real bad compared to others. 🤪

What a great a video and an awesome job wheeling the vintage van. What kind of mic setup do you use to be able to record from the van and talk while you went to set up the camera for the steep decent? Thanks and again great job.
