"Cat's tongue" in Japanese actually means someone who is particularly sensitive to hot food (as if temperature, not spicy). Thats why cat gets mad when you feed him hot stuff.
My argument for pronouncing it Rye-Star 1. Why would they name him after your wrists? You grab with your hands not your wrists. 2. Wrist is spelled with a W and his name is not Wristar. 3. Naming him after the phrase Rising Star makes much more sense. This character was literally and figuratively a Rising Star. 🌠 🌟 Team Ristar (Rye-Star) Rise up! 🌟
Additionally, Ristar's gimmick is his incredibly stretchy *arms,* NOT his wrists. There is no reason he would be named after his wrists in the first place.
I am not. As great as the SNES and N64 were, the Genesis matched them beat for beat if not better. It just sucks that the CD and Dreamcast couldn't control its pirate problem.
I used that Scorch one strategy years a go for SS's, tried carrying the statue to the end, gave up, thought it was impossible, I simply hoped the first meteor I grabbed would spawn a statue! If not, retry! Knew it was faster.

true
Oh shit Ristar is intense- a classic I missed out on in the old days but really enjoy these ones! Gotta watch this for sure~
It still amazes me that the Genesis coexisted with the NES, SNES, and N64.

Also, fun fact. Ristar was almost sega's mascot before Sonic. But then they settled on Sonic and a few years later released this game.
God this brings back so many memories.
Rye-star, rising star!
fantastic run
Phenomenal run, Chubbus!
Ooh, didn't know about that shortcut with the statue.
12:33 I NEED TO DO THIS IN MY NEXT PLAYTHROUGH
I still have my copy at home. Great to see this run!
