Another one of Weiki's golden gems! Just a shame that Kiske has gotten ill on this first leg of the tour -Hopefully he comes back in 2018 and has adjusted to the tight touring schedule. But props to Deris for singing so well now, after a few rough years ;)

Kiske never felt confortable singing this song, even in the late eighties, so it's very normal he doesn't nowadays. The chorus of this song has something that makes yoy struggle independently of how high it is. Anyway his vocal range is incredible and he's still in good shape.
i think that wasnt Kiskes best night, he really couldnt go into the higher notes much. That song had some quite high ones originally. I doubt its a permanent thing, we all have some problems with our voice once in a while, and most of us dont have to sing much. I hope his voice is getting better. Yes he has, unisonic just to name one. Avantasia he had the flu he hasn't lost anything I saw him numerous times over the last couple decades including his first tour he's not pushing it why damaged his vocal chords this is a long tour.
It could be even an off night for him as well. Being on tour, its very difficult. Could have been even that he was a little sick. Things happen, and there's not really much one can do. I like them both equally. Two different timbres in their voices!

Back in the day obviously, no contest. But nowadays his highs are more often than not pitchy, extremely nasal and pretty much sound like a dying cat and his articulation is absolutely atrocious. This show was obviously an extreme example of this, but it's been quite a while since he sounded much better. While Deris' voice is in a really good shape nowadays.

Kiske is the best singer by far, Deris is the better songwriter. Though here Kiske's voice was obviously cracked.
