What do you use to prime your eyes?
I always use the Rare Beauty eyeshadow primer (shop-links.co/...) and I set that with a translucent powder.

The gradient look is my everyday favorite. However, I suffer from watery eyes, and so I often find that the deeper shade on my outer corners is gone by the end of the day. I haven’t been able to find a shadow that can withstand that. I’ve tried creams, shadow sticks and powders, but most days my outer lid is bare of shadow by day’s end.
Hello! I have severe allergies and watery eyes are an every day thing for me. When I started using the Morphe eyelid primer, (and set with a fine powder), all my shadows stayed true through my entire work day! So try a few eyelid primers to see what might work, and you will probably see a big difference! Best of luck!
As a minimalist… where I shadows go, this is extremely helpful! I own The Sophisticate from CT and I use it everyday. Those are all Matte but I have a few single shimmer colors from Mac that I can incorporate with it,.. THANKS 😊
I am a 69 year old woman that is new to eye shadow. Can you please let me know which of these looks would be best for small recessed eyes that are not hooded. I would like to make my eyes look a bit bigger and less deep set with a protruding brow bone.

I keep “dipping my toe” in to make up application and subscribe to various UA-camrs, mainly ones who, like me, are coming, not quite to the autumn of our lives, but let’s say, the end of summer!! I do so love the glittery and glimmery (totally made that word up! You see, it will be in the Oxford dictionary next year 😉. Last year, or it might even have been the year before 🤷🏽♀ I mentioned in the comments of one of the ladies I subscribe too about using eyelid primer and concealer over wrinkles and frown lines, since that is specifically what eyelid primer is for and the week after, it comes up in my google newsfeed - someone who totally wasn’t me, stole that and instead of saying that she found it on a UA-cam comment, made out it was her idea! But anyway, let’s see how quickly glimmery goes viral and if I get the credit 😉) eyeshadow and I know that it supposedly is only for you younger lot, but I was busy being sensible, working and raising a (quite large) family! So makeup is still new, a couple of years later and I do so like finding new people to follow. And also, you are very attractive so possibly how this looks on you, is going to look like that on me. But I can try 🙂 I also am neurodiverse so patience isn’t really a thing with me. It still amazes me how I was such a great nurse and nominated for awards for mentoring students, but get me out of my uniform and off the ward and I have no patience 😂
