It would be great to see a model with green/blue/brown eyes and see the looks you can create with the suggested palettes. Love the video❤
I’ve seen a video of Andreea in the past where she puts makeup on a young lovely Parisian blue eyed lady, using peachy champagne colors and looked lovely. Perhaps you can share links to those, Andreea?
@@elineermens1 I saw this one already and loved it! But now she recommended some other pallets and I don’t know which one to buy so it might help to see what we can get the most use out off
@@Lena12421 try it out - she said.
Ohhhh yes 🎉🎉🎉❤ good question
Thank you for saying how important skin tone is when choosing eyeshadow. For example, anything that is even slightly warm toned looks very orange on me. It’s hard to find a cool toned palette!
@@Kelly-pp1et Incorrect.
Yes! I am cool-toned with gray-blue eyes, and while warmer tones do make my eyes pop, once you step back and look at my whole face they look awful! I can do neutral tones that have just a tiny bit of warmth if I sheer them out (for example, Maybelline High Roller). But other than that, only cool toned shadows make me look beautiful. Same with blush and lipstick. I really wish they made more *truly* cool-toned eyeshadow palettes. Even the ones touted as cool are usually only barely cooler than neutral.
@@Kelly-pp1et science 😅 you're talking crap and pretending science backs you up instead of stopping and thinking for a second. I'm cool toned I think I know best. Thanks for the laughs though
@@Kelly-pp1et You should be listening instead of speaking. You care more about being right than the actual truth of the matter. Best of luck
@@laurenwhitaker17 I am the same! Have you found any lipstick shades that you love? Lipstick is where I struggle. Every time I think I found one, I try it on and it looks orange or just simply unflattering on me.
I hope you feel better. The fact that you're not feeling well and still took the time to make this video means a lot. So, thank you so much for all you do. ❤️
Despite my best efforts to be adventurous with my eyeshadow, I always come back to purples, plums and burgundy. The most flattering on my complexion w/ green eyes! 😊
Me too -- except for the burgundy. I am wanting to buy Tutu in the Dior quint and am surprised that this wasn't included. Andrea, PLEASE speak to this. I know you said you didn't like the violets on green eyes. I have never tried reds but am almost convinced to do so after this video. I know any number of copper shades really look good on me. My eyes changed color as I got older. Someone please explain!!👃👃👃
I want to thank you Andrea. I have neglected to do so as much as I should. I did go out and buy very inexpensive red/pink palettes. Waiting for them to arrive.
Yes, I have green eyes and always gravitate towards the plums. Maybe it’s time for me to branch out a bit. I’m 56.
I have light brown amber eyes that sometimes get mistaken for green and sometimes they look chocolate brown. I find that if I line my waterline in dark black, it makes my eyes look super light, almost caramel honey. Navy blue liner makes them look orange. And cool toned neutrals make them look light amber.
I Hazel eyes and a light olive complexion and I love rose gold and champagne colors on me.
Wow, that was super helpful! And your assistant is so beautiful! After you applied eye shadows her eyes just popped as green. Magic!
For lavender eyeshadow on blue eyes I can say that since I have very light skin I love to use light lavender colour with sparkles. I think it's perfect for youthful spring looks. And it also looks fantastic on dark eyes, they just start to shine incredibly✨✨
I loved your suggestion @ 5:44 of choosing colors that are present in our features (eyes, eyebrows, shadows, hair, skin, etc) to create a faded effect of the tones in our inherent color palette. And also @ 4:40 of explaining why one pop of color compliments the balance of certain features.
Everyone always says "Everything works for brown eyes" but there are different types of brown. There is brown that looks black. There is medium brown, or a very clear light brown.
Everyone always goes in depth about enhancing blue, green, and hazel eyes.
No one ever, ever, speaks about enhancing different types of brown eyes.
We are desperate for a more elaborate tutorial on enhancing brown eyes.
No one ever gives that Info.
I have to agree with this comment - green, blue and purples end up looking too harsh….and this is what’s always recommended. I have warm-toned skin and therefore a lot of shadows end up looking orange on me - not cute. When I try cool tones, I end up looking washed out….love knowing that skin tone plays a role here but would have loved to hear a specific palette or shades that might work for different skin tones. I definitely think this video was informative, but would like a little more in future videos.
and then there are mixed eye colours. Mine are greyish blue green with a hint of hazel around the pupil. XD
I agree with your comment but I was thinking the same about grey eyes. At least they mention brown, even though it's as if there's only one colour brown, but no one ever teaches about grey. I saw a picture of an actress with true grey eyes, very beautiful, but hers were much lighter than mine, very pale, and mine are medium. Still, I tried to see what kind of shadow she had on, and I could only see that it was very neutral and looked like no particular colour, very subtle, and she had very pale skin like me. It's hard to find pictures of models with similar colouring to yourself and try to analyze exactly what the makeup colours are. I would love more detailed videos as you suggested, it would be very helpful.
So true thank you!🤍
@@katgirlblue yes! I’d love to know about gray eye complimentary tones, too.
Andreea, you are just.. another level. As I was watching this video, I thought of your festive New Year upload. I remember you answered a question about why you don't share negative emotions/experiences or something like that. And you said Something like "I am so Lucky to do what I do and to be where I am, that I don't have the Right to be anything but positive". To me, that was SO inspirational. I am also an imigrant, first generation, persuing my dreams. I know how it feels when you pour your heart and soul into your work and later on feeling that Incredible spiritual fulfillment of the gratitude - and the awareness to the importance of that gratitude - that comes with the pleasure of reepig what you sow. And what made me think of it is realizing yet again how thorough, rich and valuable your work is. You keep on maintaining this non-compromising standard, when in reality it's obvious that you can work a little less hard. I'm also like that, and maaaan, I really hope to reep such beautiful fruit in the professional sense also. So, yeah. As a blue eyed girl I've gotten planty of value, and as a woman to woman, I am sending a big hug from Israel😘❤️
Gorgeous assistant! I love her eye shape, and she has my favorite eye feature: when the iris touches the bottom of the eye, i.e. there’s no white part showing between iris and lower lid-makes for such an appealing eye, no matter the color. I would call those hazel eyes as well.
Amen Andreea!! No rules! Wear the eye shadow that you like the best & makes you feel the best!! I have deep green & I’ve been told I’m suppose to wear purple & copper! But, I usually wear a tan or brown eye shadow!😂 I wear whatever I like the best!!😂🎉❤
I have hazel eyes and my absolute favourite thing and what I get the most compliments on when I wear it is actually Aqua coloured eyeliner! I find purple makes my eyes look more brown and I like to bring out the green/yellow in them.
I’m an artist by trade-not a makeup artist, haha-and for some reason, I have always struggled to understand makeup, especially with regard to color. This is the first video I have ever watched of yours, and it is the first video I’ve ever seen that truly explained eyeshadow color choices in a way that makes sense to me. You were speaking my language! 😄 I subscribed to your channel literally two seconds after I finished watching this. I’m excited to learn more from you! ♥️ Best wishes from Texas!
Olive green is very nice on my dark blue eyes because it has some gold/yellow undertones in it. Tightline with a very black eyeliner and a black volume mascara and it looks great.
6:56 I LOVE the point you bring up about using colors already in your “color palette” - those colors that are already part of your hair, eyes, skin, natural shadows and highlights - to fade together and act as beautifying agents for yourself. ❤
My makeup guru ✨✨✨
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Mine as well! ❤️
Beautiful- the green eye gal ❤ 13:01
Amazing as always, Andreea! So helpful to reference the color wheel. Thanks for making these luxury looks so accessible! Love the tips and will definitely use them. ❤
Your assistant is beautiful! And i love the way you did her eyes!! You are a great artist!!
Cheers to the brown eyes girls!!!! Wearing whatever the heck we want🎉❤!! Seriously we all should! Once I discovered Natasha Denona’s palettes I became obsessed with colors and with shimmers!!! Yes! 🙌
This was amazing and so helpful. Using your assistance to demonstrate the colors was so helpful to see it be done. 🙏👏❤️
I experimented more with my palettes and re-wrote my comment because I found some interesting things:
I want to weigh-in on the blue eyes (especially blue/gray) when it comes to mauve. While I do find that copper/bronze/brown tones are nice with the blue my eyes, because I have brown/tan around my iris, I don’t prefer this look. Probably my favorite colors are mauvy/pinky tones, or using a deep purple or blue right at the lash line. For my eyes, which are gray rather than true blue (I have tawny brown around the iris), the pink/purple colors play nicely with my eyes and make the color “pop.” For my particular eyes as well, I can make them look intensely green by wearing a green top or green eyeshadow.
Browns compliment my eyes, but I reach for dark blues or purple/mauve when I want my eye color to really pop. Some brown/bronze colors look better than others with my eyes.
This was the most informative and helpful makeup video I think I’ve ever watched PERIOD. I have watched and rewatched it this morning. So very helpful. Thank you!❤❤
I love how elegant and classy all your looks are. Thanks for the suggestions ❤
Omg she is absolutely beautiful!
Your assistant is so sweet trying not to smile, but it’s just so cute she can’t help herself 😊 also, I love how you said to choose are colors that are already shades that we naturally have. Always making sure we find the beauty we already have and roll with that! Thank you!
I needed this video! Andreea always comes through for us! 💕
Always learn so much from you and appreciate your advice. Thank you for giving people what they kept asking for! Sorry if it wasn't good enough for some people. You carefully explained everything if they were listening. You are the best teacher!! Feel better soon!
I love your eye look in this video as well as the eye look you did on your assistant!!!! Always stunning!!! Love learning from you all the make up tips and application technics! So inspiring 😍❤ Thank you ❤
I totally agree with you that skin undertone matters when applying eyeshadows. I have a green eyes and can pull off majority of the shades in the color wheel, even orange and yellow will make the color pop if applied correctly. However, the only color I am always struggling to wear is blue and it is my favorite color family of colors!
Thank you, Andreea. Your presentation, your description, your application is always amazing and so informative. I've learned so much from you! Your guidance is priceless. Hope your voice is better soon! ❤
Thank you Ali💫
I so enjoyed your tutorial on eye shadow colors for different eye colors & application. You clarified colors that I thought would look good with green eyes, but I was not confident or sure. Having your expertise & experience just solidifies what I felt in my gut. I so appreciate you taking the time to educate us all with your knowledge & always with your honesty. I just love listening to you!! You are my friend I can trust. I hope you are feeling much better. Also, that your precious Eden is well & did not catch your cold.
Blessings to you & yours 💕
I look forward to your next video.
This is so helpful for me! I have grey blue eyes and the fact that you included that rather than just saying blue was awesome!!! I absolutely love the Colourpop stone cold fox pallet on me Thanks sweetheart!! I hope you feel better ♥️♥️
Oh my STUNNING eye makeup application on your assistant!!! She looks so gorgeous
This was a super instructive and super helpful video : THANK YOU so much Andreea , hope you ' ll feel better soon !
oh, thanks so much for this take on the eyeshadows! talking about the difference between "beautifying" and "make-them-pop" is THE THING I needed to understand and thanks for pointing that out. with blue eyes myself (but preferring more neutral looks) I was always disappointed by advices that I need orange and copper. But only having browns was kind of boring. Now it makes sense to use brownish and beige shades to beautify for an "ordinary" look and to have some copper (that I love on myself, just not everyday) for special occasions and for making the eyes pop. Thanks for describing this :)
Beautiful, educational, classy video. I love the new makeup trends and what would look best on your audience. Love the everyday looks, we are not in are 20's clubbing every weekend and needing dramatic make-up. You give us fresh new suggestions thank you.
Always great information! I go back and read the transcripts for something I may have missed. Thank you, Andreea
You have such a gift for makeup! I can’t wait to try some of these - especially copper tones for my blue eyes!
Wow!!! It was amazing seeing you in action! I have brown eyes, and have been “eyeing” the purple Dior palette for some time. So fabulous seeing you apply it in your assistant so beautifully.
Thank you Andreea! I have blue eyes and light skin and I use the exact colours you recommended! So happy its Andreea Ali approved cause you are my makeup inspiration! 😍 I use the Pillow Talk and the Darling pallette from Charlotte Tilbury.
I've been following you for years and now, look how you confirmed in this tutorial that I chose the right eyeshadow palette... yey! thank you! I’m keep watching you!
Your assistant is darling. Thank you Antonia. Definitely Hazel eyes and the purple and plum work great on her. I am enjoying this tutorial for green eyes due to more recommendations that I was not completely aware of. Thank you ladies.
Thank you for putting together a very informative explanation on choosing eye colour!!!!
Thank you so so much for this helpful video! I am always taking notes from your videos! You put so much effort and that is why we love you! What a beautiful assistant!!!
Antonia's makeup is so beautiful!!
thank you for listening and filming this video for us! ❤
I started watching aft midnite but knew I had to watch again when wide awake bc SCRUMPTIOUS is all of this education and GORGEOUS is the application of urself & of ur assistant. I would have nvr thought of eyeshadow colors this way & I can not wait to try & try again. LOVE this video❣️🌟❣️
Dear Andreea, you are such an inspiration. Your videos help me see myself better and love myself more through playing with makeup. You taught me so much that I’ve decided to do my own bridal makeup with your tips and my incredible sister’s help. I had allergies to powder shadows for about 15 years but now it’s gone! Yesterday I bought a mini ND Biba palette and was thrilled with the results on my blue-green eyes. By the way, what is the pink brush you are using? Thanks and please continue! I hope you brush off from the cold soon.
Thank you Andrea! ❤
I have grey-blue eyes and find that light peachy tones make my eyes pop, along with pale golds. Orange always seems too harsh on me. ❤❤
She is so pretty. Her dimples are so cute. Andrea, nice content. Thank you love!!
I have admired that palette many times because I have green eyes, but I thought it looked too dramatic for me. I am pale as well as older, and I've never liked saturated colors on me, but you've shown me how it can be done in a softer way. I'm going to buy it!
Omg that eye makeup on the girl with the hazel eyes looks stunning😍 literally perfection! You are the best in my opinion. ❤
Thank you, I loved this video! I have blue eyes that lean gray, and I love MAC eyeshadow because they have a lot of cool tones to pick from. When I started watching UA-cam about six years ago, everyone had warm looks. I've always used grays, taupe, putty, and matte white (MAC Gesso). I'm glad that we are seeing more cool tones again. As always, thank you for your amazing educational content xo
One of your best videos of all time!! Thank you, Ali!!❤
Thank you, thank you, thank you‼️ I bought retro palette and I couldn't use it right, now I know thank you so much for also alternatives that you showed and explained❤️ I love your pretty assistant too
Luv luv how u explain/teach everything its very helpful!!!
I really enjoyed your informative video about eyeshadows for different eye colors with your gorgeous pallettes. Thank you Andrea Ali.
A couple of interesting choices for blue eyes...I have found pinks and brownish-purples to be a mainstay in My eyeshadows and really makes my blue eyes pop. Also will try more of the peach/orange colors again. I know coral and reddish colors look good on me.
This was a very interesting video and very helpful with the use of complimentary colours to enhance one's particular eye colours. Thank you Andreea for your beautiful palette suggestions too.
Such a fun and helpful video!! You're the best at giving us confidence... thank you 🥰🤗
Thank you so much! I was one that was waiting for this video! So helpful! Thank you again! Much Love!!
I love this video so helpful 😊as always you teach us, I’m so thankful for your advice 💕 feel better soon 🤗
You articulated so well why I struggle with eye shadow and even more so with age. I’ve finally found an eye palate that I like on me and it’s Tom Ford Smoky quartz, formula and colours are lovely, i have green eyes and everything looks muddy on me in my opinion but I like this one and it’s very soft to blend.
I cannot explain how I really needed that video. Thanks a lot Ali! ❤
Love all of your videos Andreea and looking forward to taking your online course! I just turned 61 and after 36 yrs in pediatric💙 🌈❤️healthcare looking forward to getting back into my passion as a freelance MUA:)!!!
Love your videos 💕 I am so glad you mentioned skin color, I have brown eyes but have difficulty finding flattering colors for this reason.
Thank you for taking the time to make this wonderful video! ❤️
Thank You❤ your assistant is stunning!
Your makeup artistry is and knowledge is so inspiring! If you wrote books I would collect them all!
I have green/grey eyes with some splash of yellow/ochra in them, and I find that, due to my pale complexion, I can't use purple-ish hues for eyeshadows. I really would love to accentuate my eye color with purples, but it just makes me look older.
I find that the best colors around my eyes tend to be golds, orangey colors, warm stuff. You are right about the red undertones; red eyeshadow actually looks amazing :)
oh my gosh, i was doing maths revision and just autoplaying through youtube videos and i had to stop and start listening when you were doing the models face and for afterwards, your voice is so relaxing with great advice and the model eye looked stunning, great work :)
back to revision now
Thank you Andrea! Take care of yourself and get better soon.
Hi Andreea, thank you so much for this! Really enjoyed it, and can’t wait to have a play around with my shadows today. Much love from the UK xxx
Thank you dear Andreea, this video came out just at the right time when I started considering buying a go-to eye shadow palette for my hazel eyes with a pinch of green golden shades❤️🔥This video has been helpful and beautiful just as all of your videos are🤍🤍🤍
How much I needed this video, you are wonderful, thank you for always teaching us the best makeup😍🍀🧡 tutorial , dear andria ❣️😘
I always learn something from your videos! 🤩😍 I loved it!
Thankyou for doing this video. Can you do a tutorial or even a quick story on how you apply the shadows in the Dior warm neutrals palette?
So good, thank you Andreea, I also have deep set eyes like yours , warm blonde hair and deep blue eyes Bronze, brown and orangey, rust tones really do make my eyes so blue, deep ocean blue! The eye’s and all your makeup on your charming model looked beautiful. I hope you are back to full health soon, warm wishes to you and your family. Suze. X😊
That was a brilliant video Andreea thank you. I have blue eyes, very blue, and I've never been attracted to bright colours at all. Any shade of pink/purple makes me look as though I've been up crying all night. I always stick to neutral cool and neutral warm colours. I have ND Biba, Glam and My dream palettes and they are the ones that get used pretty much 99% of the time.
Another excellent video, thank you so much! This was so very helpful. I have grey/ blue/ gold eyes…and a I’ve really struggled with trying to find colours that work for my eyes. I will try your recommendations. ❤️
literally searching about this topic a few mins ago, love u ANDREAA❤️🧿
I have hazel eyes that can change a little depending on what I’m wearing. Many years ago, Dior had an incredibly beautiful turquoise eye liner. I’m one of those people that just focuses on the one thing I’m doing at the time, and unfortunately not the overall look. I put the turquoise liner on and went shopping. I passed a mirror and saw someone that looked “possessed.” It turned out to be me! My eyes looked like the color of yellow mustard! It was not a good look. Now I stick to mostly very neutral cool toned browns and some shades of purples.
Now this was priceless!!! Down to the use of non traditional brushes to achieve details that really are SO beautiful. I'm still practicing the techniques you use which is really what makes for the beautiful outcome. Thanks to your fabulous videos I've purged makeup I grew out of 40 years ago and have invested in product for my now skin amd brushes brushes brushes. Love AA and all she stands for.
Dear Andreea, thank you so much for this video! So informative! 💚
Thank you so much for such an amazing video! 💕 Wondering if you have any suggestions for grey eyes specifically? Some of the tips for blue or green eyes are applicable, but there isn't much information out there on how to best flatter grey eyes!
I'm so glad I found your channel. I have brown eyes and dark hair too. I wear browns, greys, golds, greens, black, purples and violets. I Googled colors best for brown eyes and blue was recommended. I've never thought blue would be a match. I have worn teal once or twice, but cannot remember how the color looked on my eyes. Also, I like your color pallets in this video. Thank you so much.
Hi Andrea, great video. I strugle a lot with eye shadows, because my eyes are green/grey. After this i feel more inspired what new colours could worked with them🤍thank you
You're the best. This is exactly what I needed. Thanks gorgeous
Thank you so much Andrea, it is so useful. Beautiful make up on your beautiful assistant . I have never use Natacha Denona palettes but I will try them now.
You are a gem. The videos you make are so informative. You have helped so many women feel more confidant by teaching them how to look like their best self. 😄💕 My favourite MUA !!!!!
Thank you for this video Andreea, it’s so useful for me🤗❤️
You are wonderful! I learn so much from you!
Bravo dearest Andrea! You did a super master class!!!! So well & professional detailed!
And your assistant Antonia (who I always wanted to know, as my name is like her), is really gorgeous, her skin is perfect.
So this is a priceless gift, coming from your more than generous heart!
Have a lovely Sunday, & take care of yourself sweetie! 🤗😘😉👏👏💯💜🎨🌹🪻🌻
Please do more hazel eyes! Loveee the Dior palette
Thank you very much 🥰wooooooooow Antonia is soooo beautiful and her skin glows, wow , I was waiting actually for you to put makeup on her like the models in your videos that you make because they have different features than yours... loved it, Thanks a lot to both of you for making these videos💋💋
This is fantastic. Thank you. I have grey blue eyes and very pale skin, and everything seems to turn orangey on my skin so I have never tried doing an orange or copper tone on my eyes. I am going to give it a try and see what happens. Who knows.
Perhaps try a light peach rather than orange- the yellow/orange in peach might compliment the grey/blue better xx
I am the same but I gave it a go and my eye colour really pops! Check for the Charlotte Tilbury palettes, really great for our eye colour.
I have a green eyes. The purple and prown eyeshadow works sooo nice on me
Omg so gorgeous...love the look 😍
Could you also please do a video with eyeshadows for different skin tones / undertones?
