Great video! I've noticed that, after following these steps and the reflection probe steps in a previous video of yours, all of my omni lights bleed through brushes, sometimes within the playable area (where shadow caulk isn't an option), do you have any tips to fix that? Thanks!!
any idea why the sun lighting comes through the door to the building for me and then its all messed up and also is there a way so i can put light radius high for a room but so that they dont go through walls
Hey papi! Nice video, it helped me to make a clean lighting on my map, it looks much better! But I have just a little problem : I can't make PRIMARY_ONLY lights flicker, it only works with PRIMARY_SPOT. I'd need a 'classic' light to flicker on a room with fire, since FX do not produce light.
I came to this video hoping to learn "advanced lighting"(in connecting my lights to power switch) BUT! Instead i learned something else, i also wanted to make "fireFX light", and this totally helped with that. Bro! TYVM! If you get a chance, lights that activate with power switch is a huge need that! I cant find one tut of that on the net... A tut on that would be solid!
Anytime and thx for watching . select your lights and press N and make sure you go to light states and only check light state 2 and uncheck all the others , so they only turn on when you hit the power. do this to the lights you want to turn on with the power switch. Enjoy buddy.
thanks :) How do you flickering a PRIMARY_OMNI...it doesn't work with a PRIMARY_OMNI (if we want just make flickering a light on a control panel for example)
after I built my lighting it gives me this error at the bottom, "Dropped 1 SSTs. tune sun quality" this is in radiant, not in the mod tools launcher. and when this error popped up, my smooth shadows now turned blocky! HELP!!!

when I make a light in bo3 mod tools it don't light up. if I press f9 the light is off. I also only show number 1 light state. any idea what is the problem?
Thanks I've only just started pc gaming not long ago and I love Bo3 zombies so I figured I'd try making my own map.... I've bindged watched all your mod tool videos lol
JBird632 yeah that fixed it, always something simple. I appreciate your help. Now I just have to figure out how to get my map to publish, says error uploading item to workshop. I deleted the xpak files and did a final compile light link but it sends the error on the second upload bar. Gets to around 60% and errors

That would help me too, the only tutorials I found on this were for WaW radiant and it needed script :/

I don't have the little things on the light to adjust the spotlight?):
my LitFog is bugged so when i place it its stuck on x axis. I mean when i move it so that it doesn't touch the X axis i cant even see the fog.
I get this error when compiling map This map does not have a skybox. When an Umbra brush is present the map must be sealed by an outer skybox.

iEFNH8Zombies build the lights with the lightning bolt...i think
press f8 and to get light. f9 only hides the assests that you wont see in game
How do you get lights to turn on once power is activated
you have up to 4 stages of lights , power i think it set to stage 2. when you add a light set it to 2 also.
click on the light and set it to stage 2 okay.

I got it to where I can see fog in radiant game view but when I load the game to play it there is no fog in game. Any ideas?
make sure it's the state .
by default the graphics settings have volumetric lighting turned off

Cancel that, I figured it out. My preview image size was 2.14 mb and steam workshop only allows max image size of 2 mb

My lighting looks different in game view than when I actually run it I see pitch blackness can you help me
go to radiant settings. and under system nuke registy. this will reset your radiant .

thats the mod tools not your game . they gotta fix that.
Ok, so I cant really do anything until they patch it?
when i checked it . it did say zbarriers put to 6. maybe you need 6 gobblegums in your map . try that and see if the error go's away.

i put 6 gobble gum machines in my map, but still i get the error
