    Just saw the shots of my brother Bill from Walcott and his find at Jacob's Mine. He brought a lot of the smaller ones he found up to my place yesterday and we had a ball cracking geodes and finding "hidden treasures" together!! Who knows, he may have turned me into a Crystal Collector (my wife's already hooked)!!
    Great shooting and for me, very educational. I'll be sharing this with my grand-kids!

    The geodes and nodules from there are so beautiful. Our youngest son has a shop where he sells crystals and I love to go and just look at them. We have a few he has given me as gifts but the huge amethyst geodes are my favourites but our cottage is too small sadly. We go when its quiet as my wheelchair takes up a lot of room in his small shop, he set it out so I and others can see everything. You have made it easier for me to be able to talk about his stock which has really pleased him. Thank you for teaching me as I'm never to old to learn. Bless you my friend Mary-Ellen UK

    Those are very sparkly and very decorative in your home. Mother Earth has some really Beauty to offer, everywhere we look. I have a small set, where the edges are kind of thick, but with perfect Quartz crystals inside, the edges were, polished to a beautiful shine and display a beautiful pattern. I love them💜💜

    I highly suggest coming down to Perryville, Kentucky, and digging around the sides of the creek in baril park. Ive dug some amazing ones out, and i could give a link to some photos if youd like. Its a 50/50 chance they will be hollow or solid, but its all worth it for those hollow ones. Ive found one at least the size of my head! Its amazing geode country down here.

    Love your videos. The geodes I got from Oregon were more like those nodules, solid and usually had some sort of design in the middle. I have one that looks like a butterfly, and one that looks like a shrimp. Those have to be cut open with a diamond dust saw blade and usually takes 24 hours or more to open. Keep up the good work. Oh yeah, when digging with a pitch fork, reminded me of digging for potatoes. Thanks, from an arm chair miner.

      I just got back from there. You drive right up to the site (If you have a truck or if the creek is low, otherwise it's a short minute walk), and the layer that the geodes are in is in the lower level (no climbing needed). I would say go for it! They have tools that you can use and everything.

    I didn’t know you could find marcasite in them. A lot of my vintage jewelry is marcasite. Love it! One of my favorites was the one early in the video - you kind of always get 2 for 1 - but it was blue on one side and white/clear on the other. So two different ones.. Are they very difficult to dig or would it be easier if it was a little muddy? I love them! Nice video.

    • @TheCrystalCollector
      @TheCrystalCollector  3 роки тому +1

      They are pretty simple today, you just have to dig into the wall at the right level. I don’t think it would matter if it was wet or not at this location, it’s a fun place for sure!

Average folks can not afford such large scale investments. Still worth the entertainment value is there with the quirky commentary from the show host. Cheers~
