Just when I think I'm getting close to having some sympathy for Vera, she always immediately goes on to say or do something unpleasant to prevent me from feeling it. Doreen may come across as a bit overprotective towards those kids but at least she cares and has found something she enjoys doing. It could be the positive break she has been lacking so much in the past. Lizzie is sensible to appeal, she has nothing to lose now and I'm confident that most judges would view the case differently and with more understanding than that last one did.

I love the way Fiona Spence plays Vera like a jealous lover when Bob comes around. Actually, Meg and Vera would have made an interesting couple if that had been allowed on television in 1980. They had real chemistry onscreen, whereas Bob's character is beyond boring, doesn't give a fig about Meg's career, and treats her like a posession.
He really is a boring old stick, never have understood why anyone would be attracted to that sort, well, unless you didn't want any real excitement or fun of any kind in your life, he might be just the thing then to insure that.
It's nice to see that the union representative who worked at Andrew Reynolds's garment factory is now gainfully employed as an officer at Wentworth. ;-)

No matter how they poorly portray that in this or any other show, it's pathetic. Alcohol does not become a serious problem after just a few extra drinking sessions over the course of a few weeks.

Cats have and do suffocate babies- they seek the warmth of the baby's head. It looks like Vera is swallowing the powdered aspirin you're supposed to dissolve in a glass of water. I agree- it's a weird way of taking it, and not something I've ever seen done before like that! Haha.
