This is the best system for DIY I saw till now. The most powerful advantage advantage of it is that when any of the cells goes bad, you can very easily replace it and continue use the battery, no need to break the welding and spot weld the whole pack again which is very time consuming and frustrating work. You have to mention this advantage. This battery pack is FOR LIFE, This is the main reason I use your kit over any other battery packs on the market.

This is awesome. I bought one and have now finally assembled most of it. I found the BMS board and the top board have their ports backwards (for the rainbow cable that communicates the voltages of each cell). Maybe this is due to the specific ones I ordered and because I did not do it as one kit purchase.

Well, for you 12 volters, it's time to upgrade to 24 or 48 volts. Built my system with the latter, so I would need two of these modules to provide a full 48 volts... which is a far more useful and efficient voltage when converting DC to AC.

      Let's see and take 3 lithium cells (3s) ...
      3x 4.20V = 12.6V, this is a little bit too low, should be 13.6V ... 14.4V.
And now low voltage (per cell) 3.0V x3 is 9.0V, that is too low for inverters, most of them stop between 10.5V and 11.5V.
      Ok, trying 4 lithium cells (4s) ...
      4x 4.2V = 16.8V, this is too much for most 12V Inverters.
And now low voltage (per cell) 3.0V x4 is 12.0V, that is ok for inverters.
Even 2.8V per cell (4s is then 11.2V) would be ok.
A better way would be with *LiFePo4* cells, typical cell voltage 3.2V
Depending on the manufacturer the maximum voltage is 3.50V ... 3.65V.
So 4x 3.6V = 14.4V, this is very good, voltage is like AGM battery.
And now low voltage (per cell) 4x 2.5V is 10V, that is a little bit too low for inverters, but with 2.7V it makes 10.8V and could work, depending of the inverter.
But ... using LiFePo4 you will need an other BMS, i think. AND there are LiFePo4 with the same size 18650 in the shops! So after buying you should look at the difference and do not mix them in the same battery holder.
      What about the kit.co/jehu/lifepo4-pcb-26650-kit ? YT-Video Kq_5yhZ4P30
Oops, there is already a video about that: Kq_5yhZ4P30

Without soldering in the batteries into the packs it will not perform well, especially on longer term, it can be also dangerous (corrosion, resistance increase at connection points, false (lower) measured voltage values - > overcharging, etc )

I even made a serious breakthrough involving high frequency cross coupling of 10MHZ and higher digital signaling across PWB back plains. Who would have thought squarewaves would act like RF? ME. There is no such thing as a true squarewave. Except in quantum computing. There the state changes instantaneously or even prior to the event.

For example cell 1 board 1 is connected in parallel to cell 1 board 2, 3, 4, & 5. So I'm not seeing how it monitors each cell individually, that, and the BMS is only for 7S.

Hi Jehu, some time ago i bought PCB 25X to build a 48v power wall. please let me know how many BMS units you recommend and SOC units. so that i can purchase it separately. thanks. prem

1 bms board per every 1200w of load is recommended. You’ll need 2 of you are going to run two stacks in parallel for 48v

I only have a 12 volts system, I cannot use anything above 14.1 . As interesting as these may be they cannot be used on a 12 volts system. Thanks for posting anyway.😁

Dart Gar you can use a step down voltage regulator, if you want to.
Or you can use only 3 cells, instead of 7.

So what do you recommend for charge and discharge parameters I have bought eight of the 7S 10 parallel kits from you and I want to try to make them last as long as possible I have them installed on a small power wall inside my toy hauler camper and I’m using them to run the lights an air compressor Chinese diesel heater and everything else that I need I have 600 W of solar on top of my trailer and then I have a shore charger just in case
    Thanks

Hi, do you have or can you suggest a "HIGH ah 12-volt" easy to put together 18650 battery kit without any soldering or very little soldering !

Why not 8s? What is the magic formula to make a 24v system that can put out 100ah like a battleborn? Thanks! Treb

Hey Jehu, hey how’s it going, been following you for a year now, very interested in what you do! I’m having trouble making the connection, for charging and discharging, this has held me back from purchasing, so the xt60 connector, is there a like a connector extension, so I can charge my cellphones, I just haven’t seen those on your sight, and is there a wall adapter that goes to a 110v to recharge the pack? I would like to directly email you, just don’t know how to go about it! Looking forward to hearing from you! Thank you!

Hi, it is better than spot welded 18650? or more expensive to use that PCB?
