What a lovely collection! Thank you so much for sharing it with us. I have a few Dinky aircraft myself. I once had many more, but nothing like yours. They're probably worth quite a stash of lucre, especially with the boxes, so look after them as I'm sure you will. The material these things were made out of (mazak) tends to deteriorate, and I can see that this has already happened to some of them. As a few are over 80 years old, I'm not surprised!

Some interesting models there, you have a small fortune in Dinky Toy Vulcan's a model only made in small numbers at the time of the Korean conflict in aluminium as opposed tothe normal Mazak metal, the Flamingo box is interesting because that model was never released although advertised ion the Meccano magazine it never surfaced, why you should have a box is very interesting ? one word of advice is not to store them like that with weight on top of each other,as you may know fatigue was a big issue with the pre war models in particular and you need to keep them out of lofts for example where so many differences in temperature, look forward to seeing your other boxes of treasure they are great.

Where did you acquire these antiques? Just someones attick? Someone who did not know the value of it apperently. You always seem to find the most interesting and mint examples. Makes me jealous!

Hi Ethan - those are Dinky Toys (f course) but models of the Ensign Airliner - a British pre-war ('37/'38) attempt at the next step in airliners. ua-cam.com/video/yRPH1DHdT7I/v-deo.html
Dinky made about 18 variants, colours, registration etc on the basic casting
