As a affinity player i find the mirror is one of the worst matchup, it just dosent feel good to play it, its boring cause both player puting down titans of construct on the bf and then its just comes down to how has more and how draws better. Not great way to play Magic, hopefully Affinity does not become so popular haha, i want to play with my new toys and have fun with them and not playing mirrors XD
Yeah comes down to whoever gets their shadowspear on a construct first, lol

kozileks unsealing surprised me a bit, I saw an eldrazi list recently trying it and it felt like the weakest link in the deck, but its seemed very powerful here. who would have thought it would be this good in affinity
I feel like unsealing outshines synthesizer in some ways. Synthesizer strategies get wrecked by things like Brotherhood's end. Unsealing allows you to flood with high CMC threats. Synthesizer Scry though is very strong and obviously having a board of constructs is strong. I also am not 100% sold on Ugin's Labyrinth. Sol lands are obviously strong, but we have too many colorless lands already and needs to land that blue mana.
Ive been waiting for a new affinity veedeo! Im also curious to see if ugins labyrinth will have any application in affinty with the new myr, as well as enforcer or companion.
I was deeply curious about kappa.
Unsure if saga is budget now but at least the deck seems budget adjacent (and fun) ;)
As I said in the video, Saga is expensive yes, but the deck really can't function without it. It's biggest source of "free wins" this deck gets.
Yeah saga is expensive. The deck can play and win with the old version and still under 300 usd. And the sagas really bridge you into other decks as you win store credit. Win with affinity and build amulet Titan. 😊

Also what are your thoughts on a non budget list having more blue cards like legacy 8 cast by adding emmry, sai and synth to play flare and force of negation. Not sure if it is possible with out seat
I don t think you can, missing mox opal and lotus petal is big, emry isnt good here and sai too expendivr

Hi Andrea, what do you think about ATG affinity in modern now?
how do you feel about Refurbished Familiar? i think it's comparable to Frogmyr in power level, and it's been known for a while how good hand interaction can be. plus, playing the UB bridge instead of the UR one lets you equip Cranial Plating at instant speed more reliably in builds that run it
Frogmyr versatility is great especially with kozilek unsealing. Two colors is very hard in this but i might try in future

personally i resent the idea that $300 is budget
it is of course not your fault, it’s just the amount you need to build a deck that still wins in modern but it’s really unfortunate
thank WOTC for that. You can certainly play an affinity deck without Saga but you're not going to have a good time.
I was really confused at the budget list having Saga on the first match, might as well not play the game if the budget range includes a playset of one of the most expensive cards in the format :(

Versus rakdos one drop, i got crushed very quickly bad mulligans i didnt do much
One Ring was outclassed by Up the Beanstalk and now Synthesizer is potentially outclassed by Kozilek's Unsealing. 😂 I seem to notice a trend of 50$ mythics being replaced by random uncommons.
I would be pissed if I bought Synthesizer and Unsealing ended up being more powerful haha. I don't think people are 100% sure which is better because Unsealing decks could be built a little better (with another 7 drop over Cannoneer).
