Please keep doing the adventure videos. Is a shame that camera gear videos do better on UA-cam, but I suspect balancing this content with the adventure videos will help ongoing subscriber engagement, as well as adding loads of credibility to your gear videos.
Beautiful look in the new set up. Think you have the right idea with the mix of content - that's the stuff I'd like to see anyways. Perhaps it shouldn't matter , but always liked the modest nature/personality you project as well - very relatable, to me at least.
A lot of UA-camrs are discovered via their gear reviews. It's the ones who can also deliver content about getting out in the field and showing nature in an exciting way are the ones who are really successful. I always look forward to your field videos, as they are from areas where I am not likely to get to anytime soon, which is probably true for a lot of your viewers. Happy New Year and here's to a great 2025! Hopefully this year, Canon releases one of those new telephoto zooms that they have just gotten a patent for in the US, and you'll get even more traffic for a video on that.
One type of video that I appreciate is how different mid priced cameras and lenses perform. Demonstrating how these items can take great photos is very helpful in determining whether or not i can purchase such items and get great performance without breaking the bank. When I see a video of someone loaded up with 15-20k worth of equipment I just ignore it because it’s not relevant to my photography. Give us something we the common folk can relate to. Just my 2 cents worth.
I come to your channel mainly for those comparison across many systems. They are very informative as to display the true price of some features. And they don’t feel overly negative towards the budget gear, but realistic.
If I can make one request, as I enjoyed you outside bird photography, a balance of outdoor photography would be great. And thanks for the effort you display providing an English edition.
hi Fabian I always really appreciate your videos. they are objective and down to earth. I really like your fieldwork videos. Equipment videos are fun, but there are plenty of them on You Tube. fieldwork videos show what happens in the real life of a nature photographer. the road to beautiful photos is a road of much effort. many people don't think about that. They think, if I just buy such and such a brand with these lems, I will take nice pictures, but nothing could be further from the truth. the real work happens in the field. and by taking a lot of photographs, I gain field experience, which leads to good and beautiful images.
You do great content Fabian. I like the gear reviews being a Canon shooter but also the out in the field episodes. I think you should follow your plans but dont forget your old content style as it is great as well.... Good on you for doing this channel and following your passion for photography. By the way your review of the rf100-500 against the rf 200-800 convinced me to get the rf 100-500 with the 1.4 extender and it is an amazing combination with my R6 mii. Thanks for everything you do its really helpful.
Fabian, great work with you do. Incorporating your university work into photography would be an interesting approach moving forward maybe. I like to learn something more than birds name. Since I only returned to photography in March 2024 to photograph the solar eclipse in April over my home in Texas, I have slowly progressed because of you and others. I would like to see your editing style. I like your new studio setup. Keep up the excellent work and I look forward to your incremental adjustments in 2025.
Really like your stuff Fabian. Since you ask for feedback: Gear reviews are not for me. I like relaxing while watching your trip narratives. Camera tips are also great. You are a great teacher. And honestly, although it's not that important to me, I prefered your previous simpler 'Spartan' studio. Thanks!😊

All the best for 2025! I really enjoy your channel. As an OM System user, I really appreciate that you mentioned this name too along the big brands.

Happy New Year to you too!
After the 200-800 came out, the 100-500 is no longer needed. It's not worth buying. I'm glad I bought the 200-800.
