I was using the studio version to track time for money sharing with the artist, and left it in the very end by accident. GEEZZ!!! what a dumb move. Yeah, I was trippin'. I knew the pacing was off. We all make mistakes. Just encourage people to go watch the original.
Tracking time is honorable, but I'm confused as to why someone would use one version of a song to time track another version. Live and studio versions are sometimes pretty different, and can often result in longer or shorter verses, pauses between verses, etc. so time tracking that way seems like it would just be bound to come out inaccurately.
What on earth happened? You ended up playing the live and studio version together.

Hope you listen to it again without the over dubbing of the studio version on top of the live performance. Btw REN likes reactors sharing his music without the need for filters or reverse imaging. WTH? That's such a clean song and somehow the recorded studio verision was playing at the same time as the live, which really muddied it up. How in the world did that even happen?! Did you inadvertently listen to the studio version first and then try to merge your first impression with the live version and forget to drop some of the audio in your editing? That was bizarre.

Think you messed-up there. They last part was actually the studio version and the live version overpaid. The violin wasn't in the live version. 😂
The last part? It was throughout the song. They already addressed what happened.
What tf? They mixed that at exactly the wrong time. The live version’s 2nd verse and chorus is so much more intense and powerful than the studio version. Really weird that made that choice. It is crazy that they were able to sync it so perfectly but still - wow, that really buried the performance and energy. The real version still gives me chills 500 times later.
Please 🙏 please do the hungertv live version of Chinchilla Fingers. It has to be the live one that says hungertv when you see it on youtube. Her vocals are over the top beautiful. The end she almost has a opera like sound. The song is like nothing you heard before. Really helps you understand why Ren said they share the same brain musically!! It’s his music sister he said.

What in the heck kind.of version did you get? Never heard it messed up like this. Still beautiful, but that is not the live recording, it's the track laid on top of the video and it doesn't match..... Very weird! Haven't come across this one. Watch the real live one.on your own time. It's 100xs more impactful

The video is such a mess, flipped, color shift nonsense, and your mic / ambient room acoustics are hard to listen to. Ren videos aren't hit by copyright issues anyway. Keep trying your channel, keep deciding it's too hard to watch.
Ren is such a werid artist because he's not a particularly briliant singer but that adds to the atmoshpere of his lyrics that make a point. Then again the point is always pretty much the same point of some mental issues and a lot of fear.His metaphor is not always... well sometimes it's just bad. "all my riches rust" I get it, but riches are made of quality materials, often even from silver or gold, they very specificailly do not rust, ever.

It's a beautiful performance from a technique point of view, but I would not listen to it again.
I don't think riches necessarily mean material riches. For me its riches as in anything good or valuable in life decaying. Like when you're so depressed even the most precious moments in life appear tainted. You can't get that 'good' feeling from them. They have rusted. So from a metaphor POV I think it hits.
I don't think he has bad metaphors, but I can see why some people don't gel with them or his voice sometimes.
For me this is probably my most replayed song of his.
I do know what you mean though, he's Imperfections almost make it more powerful and relatable. For me, his imperfections make him perfect. 😊
I love his beautiful voice best. But it is not spot lighted as well with another powerful singer. Besides this version she did is not the best because she blended both songs together and that isn't doing the service to either version.
