Book vs. Movie: Heidi (1937, 1968, 1993, 2005, 2015)

Heidi is one of few characters in children’s literature that become world-renowned and so iconic that she defines a specific place for generations of readers. The classic story resonates with anyone who has dealt with physical or emotional limitations, or with loneliness and loss. Written by Johanna Spyri, Heidi was initially released in two volumes, published in 1880 and 1881. In this video, we’ll be focusing on five live-action adaptations:
