Thank you for showing Shirley Temple’s Classics. I watched them on Sundays. Couldn’t wait for Sunday to watch little Shirley Temple. Thank you for bringing back her wonderful classic movies. God bless.
I just 2 days ago watch my first shirley temple movie The Little Princess and I fell in love with her. So cute and charismatic. I love her acting...feels so natural.
My oldest sister worked at the doll factory on queen street Toronto. She made the first addition Sherly temple doll . She bought from the factory. Well done movie's 👏
I grew up watching Shirley Temple movies and my daughter as well! She is timeless, I will always see her as this cute little girl with the adorable dimples on her face😀
Shirley Temple was an extraordinary child who became an extraordinary adult that served her country. Sadly there are no children in films today that can even compare. Her movies are timeless, and always bring a smile to my face.

Back when entertainers had real talent. They could sing, dance, and act. So glad we can watch these wonderful movies, right in the comfort of our own homes.
Shirley was always my favorite. The little Princess movie is also my favorite. The part when she woke up and the Prince across the building window decorated her room with furniture a fire & food & scones. All the beautiful night pajamas & robes & fluffy slippers for her & her roommate. Melted my heart. So I carried out the tradition with my daughter on Christmas Eve when she was a child. I would sneak in her room while she was sleeping and she would have a new rug, robe pajamas & slippers. 😭 She’s 33 now and has stage 4 breast cancer. Life isn’t fair. She is actually doing really good now. It stopped spreading. She’s very active & happy. I don’t know why I shared this.
Maybe because it turned out like a Shirley Temple movie...goes from good to bad to good! I hope she's doing well and thank you for sharing your story..
I too grew up with her and loved all her movies. I also find myself smiling while watching her movie. I wondered why and realized because she is exactly the way we wish people would act. Loving, friendly, forgiving etc.
Shirley Temple was real prodigy. It's amazing that she could remember her lines and song lyrics at that age. And what a hoofer! First time I saw this movie, and I was enchanted by Shirley's personality, the story and the lovely music.
These movies were made during The Great Depression to cheer up the people and take their minds off of their misery. My mom was born in 1928 and so was Shirley Temple born that year. Going to the movies was an inexpensive treat that my mother’s said her grandmother took her because they got a free dish, it was the Depression glass and they loved anything free of course. Her dad died when she was only 7 years old and her mom had to work two jobs a laundry and a bar at night to house them and feed them. My mom and I watched these on tv in the 50’s.
I collected her dolls, and still enjoy looking at them! I display them under glass……I have her plates too! My mom got me interested in her in the 1950’s! Use to watch her movies when I was about ten! Fell in love with her!
I am from Boston and the pediatrician I used, Dr Lewis, was also Shirley Temple's pediatrician whenever she was in the area. He had a huge and beautifully framed portrait of her hung on the wall behind his office chair. I always felt so honored! 😊 Dr Lewis was my first borns pediatrician but he was getting too old and retired not long after.
How did she remember all those steps...and all the words to songs and to sing so expressiveness with different accents etc... she had to have been a genius
I am by no means a dancer, but I am a singer. Remembering words to songs is pretty easy. Music is stored in a different part of the brain than most memories. BUT, music can also trigger memories. So, if you forget the words to a song, they usually come back to you as you hear the music.
Another fantastic Shirley Temple movie, yes she was so talented. Movie seemed to be so joyous back in the 30s. This type of movie will never be made in today's insane era we live.

I'm not in total agreement, reason being since Shirley Temple there have been quite a number of very young talented actors but there have been many more under developed storylines. In the days of the classics, movies not only intertained but commonly had purpose and meaning also they got to the point without fluff and filler. Years passed and very soon Hollywood derailed many young players talents with every turn. Low moral themes, sensational filler, and storylines (scripts) that went nowhere, quantity over quality. Or, that's how I see it.

I used to sing " An ordinary day" to my own daddy, and many years later to my children. My favorite song of hers, that I would sing to my daughter, rocking her to sleep was " What makes life the sweetest" from Captain Jamuary. My daughter who is grown now still remembers that. When I was little, adored Shirley Temple(Black)! Collected the VHS😬🤭movies in those fun bubbly VHS containers. I was so upset when I found out that my parents had gotten rid of all the movies without my permission or asking me if I wanted them! 😢😡 I am slowly trying to rebuild my collection with DVDs but it's just not the same as those fine VHS bubble holders. Such a sweet talented young lady she was♥️
I used to tape them on my VHS tapes on a Sunday afternoon. Sometimes I forgot to skip the commercials, sometimes I was late to press pause during a commercial, or record after the commercial, sometimes I didn't start them in the right place and Punky Brewster plays instead, or I accidentally recorded something over part of the movie. On one my dad recorded the final quarter of the football over Stowaway. That's my collection, and I was 8 when I made it!! 😂

That's right. Sadly, playing the Tin Man is the only thing he is known for today :(
Jack Haley also has role with Alice Faye in 1938's fabulous Oscar-nominated "Alexander's Ragtime Band". Available free from better public library's everwhere.
I too grew up watching her movies every sunday morning. Loved her.
😂only now do i know how great Shirley was..heard about her all my life..im a dr.born in 1946.
I'm wondering what a pefomance a small little girl, first time I see it really very grateful for I watching 💜💜💜💜💙💙💙💙💚💚💚💚💓💜
Amazing talent....such great entertainment with wonderfully creative story lines..Thank you for posting.
Interesting how back in the day, even offices were heated by fireplace. I would love to work in an office with a fireplace now and windows that opened.
Michael Whalen was gorgeous in this film! Oh my. 😍
Alex haley has always made me laugh in some shirley temple movies, including sunny brook farm with shirley temple, she is such a beautiful darling little actress, she's always been my favorite even when I was only 10yr old girl, l am 72yrs old, she is still my favorite
Do you mean Jack Haley? I also enjoyed his personality in the Shirley Temple movies. I liked him in The Wizard of Oz too. Good acting.
Colorized versions of old
films are just gorgeous. 💕
puke! They're disgusting. Black and White movies should be left in glorious Black and White and not dumbed down for the braindead
@@Marcel_Audubon absolutely!
Most are not. The colorization is a pathetic distraction....since it goes off and on
Watching original B&W in B&W is best.
Always love Shirley Temple movies since I was a kid. Thanks for uploading this one!
I love this movie and her songs are so great
What natural acting for the little girl
Shirley Temple movies are the best 💕
Shame on your parents! I'm sorry they did that to you! Not cool!
@@Denidrakes69 I actually think that is really neat! not recording over other stuff but seeing old commercials can be very fun to watch and nostalgic! i've watched videos on UA-cam with old commercials and I love Punky Brewster.
