    I love how what you select lights up. 💡 I did a burn-out on most of your Miele videos this weekend. It was great.

    Nice video, didn't know this model yet. in Europe most of the miele's get killed when used with plaster and other building material waste. All I do with them is open the motor housing , cleaning it all out . Polish the stator of the motor on a electril drill with 500 sandpaper then and give it a good clean with isopropanol. Sometimes its only the triac or thermal fuse inside the motor that needs to be resoldered or replaced. Another miele saved from the bin. For me they are straight forward well build machines . They are also a lot cheaper in Europe I think ( around $ 250,- for a miele C3 )

    I have serviced many Miele cleaners, never used any special tools. There is an Australian guy on here I think his channel is called Vac spot. He has a video stripping down the Miele S5. No special tools used and no damage 😁

      Doing Non authorized repair the hard way is a option.

      Performance Reviews I do agree with you though. You have to know what you're doing and have a certain level of ability or you will do some damage. So for most it would be best to take in to an authorized dealer.

      Mark Pritchard ... You can buy a set of nylon pry tools anywhere for less than $10. The sets even have the "special Miele tool".

    Hi Performance Reviews, I have a S5481 with 2200w, it has 3 settings, low, normal and turbo. It seems just to be able to run on 2 settings: low and turbo or low and normal, if i press turbo, it does not increase in noise or suction i belive - what is the next step to fix that? I would like it to run on normal, since its pretty powerfull right now. Thank you

    Out of interest what vacuum cleaner do you use at home? :)
    And of all the cleaners you have serviced which one has the most airflow?

      Mark Pritchard Hi Mark just answering your comment regarding airflow. I have an older Orange Miele S626 Cat & Dog 1600w and an S5120 2200w super air clean. The S5 has the most suction though I think the older Miele is more sealed. They made a powerful version here called the Miele Xtra Power 2100 which I think would have beaten my S5 but they are extremely rare now!

    Do the Miele s5 and c3 have airleaks between the motor and the cord-retract? Some guy told me not to buy them cause it wasn't totally sealed.

      All the dirt goes goes in the bag ,motor and then in to the HEPA . The motor is sealed . No air leaks!

      Miele has always sold completely sealed machines. Whoever told you that was full of shit.

    Do you know if it would be easy to find a Leo (S5381) and how much would they go for? Here in Canada, I feel I have a better chance of finding a unicorn then one of those vacuum.

      It's never easy to find something that's been discontinued for over 10 years.

    I don't ever see anybody changing the exhaust filter that's in the lid(bottom side of lid at 1:22) under the grey plastic grill. It's black and about 4x20cm. Can't find a replacement part number for this...

      I think you are referring to the hepa filter. He installed a new one at 14:00 but didn't mention the part #. Try searching Miele SF-HA 50.

      For anyone wondering. I e-mailed Miele Benelux. They replied it's not a part you can order separately. It has to be ordered along with the grey plastic grill just above it: part number 6835790 . Price quote was € 18.40 excluding VAT and € 5.00 shipping. So too much money in my opinion to justify for just that 1 exhaust filter.

    My s5000 works fine, but after 8 years not puts out a smell. Is this something serviing can get rid of? Or should I accept it.

    • @PerformanceReviews
      @PerformanceReviews  3 роки тому

      Bring it in for service have them wash out everything on the inside. Have you been replacing your HEPA exhaust filter once a year?

    • @nauxsi
      @nauxsi 3 роки тому

      @@PerformanceReviews I would say probably it's been longer than that. Once every 2 years.
