Great shave Matthew, you make it look so easy! I’ve never seen you cut yourself, which is good, I’m just a little jealous is all. 😂 Regarding a name, here’s a couple; ML Creations, Pincer-Works, Doberman Shave Works, LSC or Lawrence Shave Creations. Have a good one Matthew!
I actually shave with two separate razors. I use a RazoRock Lupo .95 OC for with and across the grain, then I use a Lupo .58 for across/against and against the grain. They’re both Frankenrazors w/4” handles though, I also shave my head with them. Those would be my desert island razors. Additionally, you’re welcome!
They have all kinds of plates for them now, I’m one of the guys asking them to crank out more, I absolutely love modular things, they’re my favorite! I was also one of the guys asking them for the Gamechanger .76 SB and it’s everything I hoped it would be! The Lupo DC is also a great plate, because you get the .72 OC and .95 SB in one plate! I also love the .72 OC, but the .95 shaves me best. The Lupo 127 is insane, IMO. I owned it, but it was so aggressive, I could only get a decent shave with Derby Premiums in it, even so, I had to be super-careful, so I sold that plate off. If the R41 is a “potato peeler”, then the Lupo 127 would be a “Popple peeler”. 😂 I’m a big fan of open-comb heads in general, I believe we’ve sung the praises of the Gamechanger .84 OC together before, too. I also love my PAA 316SS Ascension as well. Those are my top 3 favorite razors.

I like using GEM razors quite a bit as I find my shaves with them are very pleasant. I am not very creative when it comes to artistic things. I use mostly the other side of my brain. So, I am not sure any suggestion I would give give would be worth a hoot-n-holler. That is quite a nice looking brush though. Being an engineer, I like the recipe 1/4 tsp per 14 mL. Would you please describe how/when you add the water? For instance, do you soak the brush and then squeeze out all the water you can and then finally add the 14 mL to the bowl? Just curious as I might give that a try.
