Outstanding video on this topic. I've been a Saint season ticket holder since 2006, and your video is the most accurate I've seen. Also, the funds that LSED used to help pay for the renovations comes almost solely from hotel and other tourism taxes, which are mostly paid by tourists, and not local citizens. It would also be relevant to speak about the brand new airport in New Orleans. One of the reasons for the new airport was supposed help us secure the bid for the 2018 Superbowl, which was surprisingly awarded to Minneapolis. But the new airport terminal definitely helped us secure the 2025 Superbowl. Again, great video!
The Superdome is great just like it is. It has its own history and mystique. It doesn’t need to have all the same bells and whistles that more modern stadiums have.
Natural light won’t help if the lights are out. We’re good with our stadium down here in New Orleans. We’re not pestering the NFL or our local residents for more and more money so that we can get a brand new stadium every 14- 22 years like the rest of the teams. Except K. C. And Green Bay
I’m a saints fan and live in south Louisiana I’ve been in the stadium multiple times and it really doesn’t take from the experience it adds too it its the Louisiana team’s dome :D Also know all the news reporters and streets he talks about
Uhh football games have only ever been delayed because of weather so a game being delayed because of power is extremely rare. IT WAS THE BIGGEST GAME OF THE YEAR…. What on earth are u talking about. This was quite literally the biggest blunder in the biggest game…
Beyoncé had her equipment running on a separate generator system not connected to the dome or grid. It was a really big blunder. Ironically, the part that failed was a brand new relay installed for the game to prevent an outage. If they had just left the old dinosaur system in place everything would have been fine.
@@tcrebelguy gurl please…. it’s a known joke that beyoncé blew it out with her electrifying performance!! the lights going out was of no fault and had nothing to do with the dome!!! it’s not like the building generates its own electricity 🙄
The interior is beautiful but the outside is ugly and depressing. No trees, grass or outdoor fan area. Looks like a prison with weathered old cement. They need to add lighting and landscaping. Scary at night.

Solid content man keep it up
The superdome can't fix its biggest flaw. The lack of natural light.

I like it that way, it fits the theme of New Orleans

Another great video!
I agree with you on the funding. I guess at least they have some ownership.
Very nice stadium nice updates !
Nice!
The superdome is one of if not the best nfl venue.
I think it took chances on some of its bollards earlier this year…
New orleans roads are bad and crime is high. Nfl will rethink going back after this year.
Still a great host city. There’s a reason they’ve gone back there several times. And most of the city is pretty safe
Gambling $
gurl please!!! it was beyonces fault !!! and it wasn’t that big of a blunder…. you’re really tryna work the drama with your claims
It’s not that deep.
obamas fault

Look up Superdome light show the dome has lighting
They upgraded the outside. It's actually impressive to drive by.
They’ve had lighting on the outside for years
