the obvious three dimensionality of multitrunkular trees takes them to another level esthetically as you slowly walk around them and pause at each 3d configuration you feel you are looking at an incredible sculpture of genius creativity thank you so much for your wonderful explanations of unitrunkular versus multitrunkular trees. there is a magnolia tree near my home that always takes my breath away with its seemingly flawless configurations and proportions most people walk right past it unaware of the many splendored wonder only yards away
I love the look of the wooden nursery planters. They look like they're over 15 gallon size? Is there a video showing how to make them?? Another thing you should mention about the multi trunk is they might be more prone to splitting during high wind eventi, not as strong as single stem thats staked.its tricker to stake a multi trunk. I had a bunch of beautiful limelights that all fell over due to very strong winds we had two weeks ago. Lots of trees down in area and debri everywhere. Great video!.
Hey Randy, thank you very much for watching! The nursery boxes are actually purchased from specialty companies that prefabricate everything and then we just strap them together with metal ties at the nursery. The most common sizes are 24 and 36 inch. and you are definitely correct about the strength of a single trunk versus a multi trunk. branches have definitely been known to split off single trunks. appreciate the input!
Hi this is question is probably out of topic but I have podocarpuses (blue ice) that doesn’t seem to grow tall, should I trim it to stimulate growth? Not sure why to do. Thanks!

Does forest pansy redbud come in multi truck?
Absolutely! These actually are generally multi-trunk by nature.
