Yep, good concept. Though, for what that thing probably cost, they should've outsourced the miniature work to someone that knew what they were doing. Lol
Great video!!! Can't believe you haven't been commissioned to do something like this sooner. Your level of craftsmanship and expertise are unparalleled. Thanks for sharing such a fantastic product. May the force be with you and your team, always!!!
Hi Black Forest 🌳, YODA , May the force be with you. OR IN YOUR CASE, MAY THE BLACK FOREST BE WITH YOU, 🖖 , Live long and prosper, . PHIL FROM THE DARK SIDE OF THE MOULIN FRANCE.
We're glad to hear that, the guys were really trying to get that look across and it's something they hadn't done before. So we're glad to hear it worked haha!
Of course I love the natural look of the black walnut with is one of my favorites. I make canes,(for myself) and use a polyurethane to coat over a light wood stain. I like putting three coats on to give it extra durability. I like the way you explained how you don’t use polyurethane to keep the wood exposed. I never quite understand how you did that so now I do. Thanks for explaining it again. I really enjoy watching your videos. I’m an old Carpenter/wood worker who’s time is running out. So I really look forward to seeing your work.🙏🏼❤️☯️🕉
It’s really nice you left in some of the back and forth between Dylan and Hayley (the unsung heroine of the Black Forest Wood Company channel in my opinion). Great video as usual folks.
THIS IS GREAT FELLAS! LOVE IT! TOO BAD THERE WAS NO STAR WARS MUSIC IN THE BACKGROUND PLAYING FOR ADDED AMBIENCE. I KNOW, COPYRIGHT ISSUE. BUMMER. BUT THE TABLE IS FABUOUS! THE FORCE WAS WITH YOU ALL!
I have seen the star wars movies im not a huge fan but its part of my child hood and remember it. You have captured the scean amazingly I love this table. And I use the deep pour for all my epoxy needs and the product is amazing highly encurage anyone new to epoxy to try it.
Another great table , the customer seemed to be very impressed with it. Nice piece of walnut and I really like those metal legs. I thought the video was a bit messy early on and Dylan trying to talk over the music. However great end result. Cheers Michael.
Wow Beautiful workmanship. That's awesome adding the figurines. You guy are the best. Where was Dillon. He inspects all projects before leaving the shop.
I'm a fan of Star Wars, but I'd never take it as far as getting mad if someone's never seen the movies. To each their own. Nice piece btw, so well done!
Have a look at the images from the ESB of the snow walkers on Hoth, are they wading through the snow? NO so why did you cut their legs off? and the Rebel Base is buried in snow, this looks just like you plopped a model down with very little effort to try and capture what the scene actually looks like. I've been a Star Wars fan for 44 years and I'd be pissed if I got this.
I think the client should've asked the builder how much of a Star Wars fan they are. Which seemed like none in this case. Probably not a lot builders of this kind of thing anyway, but, he probably paid 4K to 5K for that thing....and to cut the legs off??!! WTF? Maybe spend a whole 4 hours and watch the movies before accepting the job.
should have poured white snow base high enough to cover the figures base plates. could have also placed in blaster fire in the scene. awesome work overall.
That looks wicked kinda like the ice hockey table John malecki did. Don't feel bad I've never seen star wars either or at least no more than like 10 mins. 🏴👍
Super cool concept and it looks great from a distance... When you get a closer look you can see it looks almost cheap. The minis stand out from the terrain quite a bit and look very basic. I would have liked to see you do some simple painting of the minis before doing the epoxy pour. A little more effort in the scene/diorama would have taken this to the next level for sure.
Just out of curiosity, did you run into any copyright issues doing a Star wars thing? I had an idea to do something similar doing a Lord of the Rings thing.
Table good as always....diorama, sorry really shit...wouldn't have paid a dime for it. The base should've been way more inset in the 'snow', the figurines don't seem to match in scale as there's full grown humans in the heads of the ATAT...plus the ATAT's are 'sunk' WAAAAY to deep in the snow. Plus it would've been infinitely cooler to have Luke still doing a final circle around the ATAT with the cable....seriously would give the table itself an 8 out of 10, but the diorama a 1 out 10.
The table was great, but the mini setup hurt to watch. Should've taken the time to do it right with 3D Resin prints and actually planning the scale to thickness ahead of time. Excellent idea and they did great with the parts they are experienced at, but man those mini's look rough.
Agreed. The table itself looks nice, but I didn’t like that miniature setup at all. The base looks completely out of place, the figures aren’t sized correctly. The ‘snow’ doesn’t even look snowy. They could have made this so much better.
Love the corner with resin. Dylan, see the original movie. It’s the best and gives you the gist. Leave the sequels and prequels to nerds while you and Charlie go snow boarding.
Table looked great. If you do watch a Star Wars movie watch the very first movie first. Don't cheat yourself you get to meet the characters and how they fit into the movie.
Great job 👍 How have y'all never seen star wars Right now Sit down with your family Watch Star wars 4: A new hope, the original movie from 1977. It won't be the same as watching it as a kid, but at least you'll get the cultural references
Gosh, was expecting more excitement on the reveal - that reaction was so "cool"... Maybe it was the choice of scene? "Great now I get to see my favorite people lose forever"? :D
Good video proportions are way off. The people, the snow speeders and at at are way to close to the same size! Should have 3D printed to the correct sizes of the at at walkers
Great concept, would have loved to see the rebel base actually inset into the white layer to make it feel like it was more integrated
I would have also liked to see some laser blasts being fired with some red and green for color.
Yep, good concept. Though, for what that thing probably cost, they should've outsourced the miniature work to someone that knew what they were doing. Lol

Awesome table, where did you buy the star figures?
Wow that’s nice table. Dylan, not everyone is a star war fan, I’ve seen only one movie. The very first one. ❤
Thanks Maddie, and haha one is better than none!

Where did you get those tiny figurines? I am having trouble finding small size to do a similar project.
Loved the piece. Well done guys. 🥰
I have never watched a single Star Wars or Star Trek movie or TV show in my life. That table is pretty amazing.
Thank you!
The table is beautiful!
As always great work
Thank you!
That’s amazing
How much did you charge for that? Looks nice and a lot of work.
Love it ! Amazing work
Love the piece. Dylan you now have to watch ALL the movies, just make sure you watch them in the right order.
But define the "right" order. Some would say by release date, some would say by the episode numbers. Both arguments have merit, imo.
VERY NICE!
Thank you Brian!

this may sound ignorant, but why don't you use UV Epoxy or the spot checks? (touch-ups)
oh thats totally awesome

King of thrones be an awesome piece you did watch that show!
Are the pieces of the scene painted or unpainted? I paint minis and terrain and would have lived this even more if the pieces were painted
You cant because the ink would leech into the surroundings
@@jamesbott3788 I'm sure you could let the ink dry first, and possibly coat the pieces before doing the pour.
this is my dream table hope i can get it one day
Cool!
Thank you!
not a star wars fan but the table is very nice. does Charlie like star wars???
He hasn't seen it either, we'll have to get him and Dylan to watch together!

Cool build and video - music way too loud though, my friend
It's from the Empire Strikes Back....The Hoth scene when the Imperial Walkers are attacking the rebel base.
Very nice. Middle earth next?
Table looked great. If you do watch a Star Wars movie watch the very first movie first. Don't cheat yourself you get to meet the characters and how they fit into the movie.
I'm 72 and have never seen a Star Wars Movie. Love the table though
I think a section might have accidentally been left in the video lol. around 2 mins
you must watch the first Star Wars movie
You're in good company; Bill Dare's never seen Star Wars.
At 9:02 you have your hair and hoodie laces dangling over a machine going over 10000rpm. Use your head or lose it kind of situation.
I cried 😢 when you cut the legs like that. Those legs was important in the storyline. Just saying
Makes them look like they were wading through the snow - wrecks it imo
@@MELODYMUNRO They could've planned it better, like measuring the height of the pieces before pouring the white epoxy.
14:02 editing was pretty jhanky on this one. Good video other than that!!
just a tad 🫣
