Being completely honest, Kid Cudi completely changed my perspective on Music and I genuinely respect the guy for being able to do that with his music. Before my friend made me listen to the first "Man on the Moon" album by Kid Cudi, I had no respect or interest in Hip Hop music, and after having listened to that album and exploring the genre a lot more, Hip Hop is now one of my favorite genres of music. However it went even further than that, Kid Cudi's music not only opened my perspective on music to Hip Hop, but it also taught me to just be more open minded about many different kind of music that I had previously avoided or ignored. Kid Cudi's music literally made me a more open minded person. I definitely respect Kid Cudi and his music, because without it, there's a whole lot of music that I would have never been open minded enough to enjoy if I wasn't introduced to him beforehand. I wish him nothing but the best and I hope he has all of the success in the world that he so very much deserves.
I was in the darkest place in my life so far when MotM3 came out and I heard “4 Da Kidz” and it really gave me tons of hope for my future. Cudi’s music helped me during that time

Mans has let me down a lot but I don’t think he’s going out sad or any of that just my opinion on it all. It’s easy to hate people when all they do is strive to be a friend or sumn positive. I dont care what opinions anyone has of this man, he changed hip hop. On top of that he's saved my life and his music continues to do so when i'm at my lowest. Cudi is so inspirational and doesn't deserve any of this. I'm glad to see him move on to other things too like Donald Glover does.
Day and Night was relatable and made me realize I might have some stuff in common with Cudi. Listening to more of his music helped me feel better. He seems like a sensitive person who'd rather part ways with big name artists if it means keeping relationships he deems as more authentic and mutual. Obviously from his perspective Kanye was a fake friend and had been for years. Not surprising he chose Pete who seemed to appreciate him. At the end of the day being more authentic to yourself and knowing at your core you're a good person makes life way more worth living.

Cudi made me feel valid about my vulnerability and he inspired me to pour my all into my art and community work so I can save other people.

Kid Cudi did not deserve all the hate he got. Maybe we should all look at it not as him giving up, but moving on. Good for him for doing what's right for himself. I also give him a lot of credit for walking off stage when ppl were being rude to him. I think he will do just fine with whatever he chooses to pursue next.
I feel genuinely bad and sorry for Cudi for all shit on the psychic he've been through and how he got bullied cuz of that. Its really fucked up how people can be evil and be hatin on someone that is in his lowest. He makes fuckin incredible music and i hope he will never stop doin it, wish him a lot of strength and peace 🙏❤
Bro I feel so bad for cudi. It's not even fair to him.
Bro idc what anyone says, but Cudi changed rap music. Not only was his sound super unique but he also talked about things most rappers at the time didn’t. I don’t see any other artist who’s as open with their personal struggles as Cudi, and it’s really inspiring.
Cudi the goat 🤷♂️
When I was in the military, I was in a dark place out on deployment; one of my friends had just passed and I was far away from home. I listened to Kid Cudi's tracks on repeat to help me get through that period and finally back home. People who've never been depressed and in a dark place in their lives could never understand what Kid Cudi knew and what his music meant for those that were. I will always consider Kid Cudi as one my favorite artists of all time. I only wish the best for him and hope for only his success in life.
Funny thing is days after this tweet I saw him live on his tour and every seat was filled sooooo I think he’s doing just fine.

I don’t think he’s wrong about the grip that Cudi had on people in highschool and college, at least that age, from 2010-2015. And I don’t think he had bad intentions to leave out older people but it’s a weird thing to bring up. I guess that’s just how younger people think, they wanna be separate from the older generations and comes off poorly sometimes. God knows how old that interview is, I’m sure there’s a strong chance that it’s at least old enough that those 25 year olds of the upper range are now in their 30’s. Pete’s gotta be damn near 30 himself
It’s sad to see how much shit he always gets. He deserves better 😢
People talk about dispelling mental health stigma and then bully people for neurodivergent behavior. Ye's done way worse and is still untouched. It's not fair to cudi. Id definitely like to see more writing from him

Idgaf what anybody says when I think about the both the happiest and saddest moments of my life Cudi's music is what I leaned on. That was part of the brilliance in his music. It satisfied all moods. Graduating in 2010 and especially being from Ohio, Cudi was that guy. Cudi will ALWAYS be THAT guy!!!

As fan a of Kanye (former) and Cudi, it lowkey broke my heart to see Cudi treated so poorly and I definitely can't blame him for 'moving on' from music. If people really knew how much he's done for the rap game in general, he wouldn't be getting disrespected _nearly_ as much.

hell nah wtf lmaooooo
