Which did I find better? E bike vs normal MTB. Paganella , Italy.

- This is part of my European mountain biking trip. I initially spent the day in Paganella, Italy riding a Santa Cruz Nomad and using the chair lifts. Today I hire an E bike, a Mondraker Crafty and don't use the chair lift. Which is the most enjoyable and biggest workout?

Loving this trip Lance. I'm an aussie nearly 50 trying to make a plan for retirement, NZ is high on the list but expensive, Italy/Spain make a lot of sense financially, seeing you over there is super helpful. Thanks mate...
I remember when NZ was cheap, but sadly no more. I used to work in the UK, and I felt rich coming back home. Now prices are about the same. Saying that Italy is not cheaper to travel than NZ but houses are much cheaper.
NZ is not that expensive. Come to Rotorua, Tauranga and Taupo. I'll guide you around. Ray.

My wife wanted to go to Italy I wasn’t too sure. Now I want to Italy. Epic riding lance can’t wait for the next video.
We are avoiding all the spots like Rome, Florence, and Venice and staying in the mountains. The scenery is jaw-dropping, and the riding is great, too.

I’ve been really enjoying these Italian vids, for the riding as well as the tips. I am in the early stages of planning a trip to Spain and Portugal next year, with hopefully some good riding thrown in, and your trip is getting the anticipation juices flowing. Ciao!

I think the E bike is a bigger work out in less time. Just spent 6 hours riding park on a steamer and feel pretty good. 6 Hours on an e bike and I would be exhausted.

Funny, you should say that as at Lake Guarda, they have had a serious Nora virus outbreak that they think has come from drinking water. Saying that my parents have a farm and I have drunk untreated water all my life.

Most of the guys telling me I'm stupid for only having a non electric bike are generally overweight ,and unskilled old guys !!
I went out today riding a normal bike in Italy and ended up riding with a skilled fit young kid. He was on an E bike. There certainly is the stereo type that e bikers are old, fat and unskilled but there are also many young, highly skilled riders using them also.
Isn't it worth getting a garmin and downloading the trails rather than checking trail forks on route ?
You are correct. To be honest, I am not great with that side of things. I can't even handle strava. We did do a ride in Verona with an app and a mount for our phone but I didn't film that as it was just a street tour. Something to work on.
Ah but kiwi's on emtbforum reckon our ozzy blacks are NZ greens. I call bullshit, but that would make this trail a triple black in Aussie terms? 🤣
Doesn't matter where I ride. Someone always says, "Where I come from, that is a blue." To be honest, there is some truth to it, in as much as grading varies massively. People do seriously underestimate the gopro effect, though.
What mic setup do you use? Going down that speed on asfalt with no wind disturbance! How?
I should include that in a video. Just the gopro mic, but I use the foam covers. But I cut them up and use double sides tape circles to completely cover the mics. I have played around with this for years, and this is my latest solution.
@@bestdayevermtb2 Thanx mate👍I get so so result on my gopros with Mediamod on them (front mic better than back mic) and even tried rycote mini dead cats but still a messy sound experience. Best up to date is Dji mic with lavs but then i look like a cop with all the gears on my chest 🙂
Ordered two foam-covers and will give them a try.
