For me, this is better than the studio version but the live version is even better.

I was similar I saw thier viral hit, "gimme chocolate", and thought, that's interesting.. and moved on, Then last year stumbled on reactions, work my way through thier whole catalog and found out how amazing they are.
People are going to throw a ton of suggestions your way, and it's going to be fun watching you go down the foxhole. A passionate fanbase CAN be a double edged sword, so don't take it too personal if someone gets snarky over your video selection, and not every song will be for everyone. But there is a lot of great music to discover, and some different genres they play with! Personally I love the high quality videos that came out of the PIA Arena 2023 concerts.
I was like you, heard one or two songs in 2014 but I didn't pay much attention... 5 months ago, I heard "Metali!!" from my cousin Spotify playlist and a week later BABYMETAL turned into my favorite band ever, they just make me happy.

excellent content J-SWAG-Metal, I think I recommended BMC for you because of your Rap-Metal love, but yeah they have so many beautiful, powerful, meaningful songs, and their Live shows are unmatched by anyone in music today or ever for that matter.
Welcome back, great reaction again. I know you are not alone with this being your favourite BABYMETAL song ... but I think you may also find others that will become your favourite ... I have at least 20 or 30 of their songs in my top 5.
Su-metal and Moametal recorded this video as a duo shortly before 1st April this year (2023) when, after 4 -5 years as a duo, BABYMETAL became a trio again when Momoko was revealed as the new official third member Momometal.
The figures in white in this video - they were providing backing vocals/harmonies on the "ohohoh" parts of course, but there is always something more to it.
We don't know who they were (we can have an educated guess). They may have been a reference back to when BABYMETAL had been a trio and a hint that they would become a trio again very soon, but I think their being dressed in white was possibly the most significant thing.
BABYMETAL have performed dressed in white two times before this (3 if you count the 'Karate' official video) and each time it was at a significant turning point in their own history.
First time was at Legend Z early in 2013 for the last 2 encores. This was their final performance as a sub-unit of their parent group Sakura Gakuin before BABYMETAL separated to go their own way as an independent band in their own right.
Second time Yui and Moa started the Legend 1997 (December 2013) concert dressed in white making a theatrical offering of neck braces to the god of metal (represented by the statue in that concert). Legend 1997 was the final step of their separation and becoming independent band. The whole concert told that story of their transition and in particular of Suzuka Nakamoto's transition, giving up her life and existence as a JPop Idol and sacrificing herself to be reborn as the Metal Goddess Su-metal.
If you include the 'Karate' official video - that was the lead single for the second album (2016) and that was another big step as they moved on from the first album which was nearly half full of songs they had originally released with Sakura Gakuin and started to explore more metal genres and musical styles.
So here we see figures in white again ... and this was just before the "new" BABYMETAL was revealed with Momometal joining Su-metal and Moametal to make up the new trio.
All of that is just my own thinking of course - there is every chance I've read far more into it all than is really there.
Oh, the fans are called 'The ONE' collectively, but individually may be referred to as kitsune (male fox) or megitsune (female fox or vixen).🦊

@@Grington300 I do think because Babymetal has intricate lore, I have become a sort of conspiracy nut when it comes to Babymetal. Seeing connections where their probably isn't any. For example: getting an idea and checking the timeline to see if it fits what I thought. So maybe I'm not the right person to ask. 🙂

Great reaction! This song is absolutely amazing, both versions. Su’s voice is very unique, straight, minimal vibrato, and angelically cuts through everything and straight to your soul.
The message is great too, the star that shined yesterday that is diminishing, the warmth of a loved one vanishing, are all “catastrophes”.
You’ll notice the lines increasing in confidence from: “What colors will we imagine the night sky?” to “We WILL paint the night sky in rainbow colors”.
The dusk of Ragnorak/end of times will be followed by a colorful morning! Just smile!

Thanks again from Japan 有難う💛。In this first take version, the girls proved that they can do anything. They have forced people to headbang with their heavy music and sharp choreo. Now they can depict various images by just singing and project them into the listeners' brain to move people emotionally. Thank you BABYMETAL. And thank you Koba, the BM producer, for your serendipity. Some 13 years ago, you certainly discovered something amazing and sacred for us. Speaking of the three figures in white hood adding some background vocals, I believe they are homage to BM's girlhood with original three girls, whereas current reborn BM have new and matured triangle formation.
We are rarely believed on this, but will try anyway...

Ohmajination's video is a good condensed one on who BM is, and it's more up-to-date than the other ones I'm aware of.
Every song I hear from the PIA Arena 2023 concerts are just joy of the next level. To see Su and Moa and Momo smiling so with sparkling eyes. And the performance, every aspect of it. So good!
To answer your Question: YES! You absolutely should watch some Electirc Callboy.
The most viral are probably "Hypa Hypa" & "Pump it!" but "We got the Moves" (from your Thumbnail) or "Tekkno Train" are also really good.
Of course they have way more but I'd say the 1st and Last are probably most in-line with Babymetal in terms of Style. :D

BM fans already know this type of unique acoustic songs like Akatsuki Unfinished Version live at Legend 1997 or "The One - Stairway To Living Legend", so we're used to this SuMetal's vocals power to reach and melting our hearts.
Fans at the recent World Tour 2023 were enjoying the original version of this song at every show and having a magical moment and pretty sure we're gonna get more this year, they just did it today and yesterday at the Okinawa Convention Center for the first time in a show called Legend 43 as part of the 2023- 2024 Final Tour in Japan.
The three white figures dressed in white are probably a reference to old BM era when YuiMetal was still part of the group or maybe a reference to the new young BM unit they previously performed along with them and are part of this new metalverse project, they already debut at Summer Sonic Festival opening the festival with a set of new songs exclusive for them. When they released this Piano Version the new official member MomoMetal wasn't announced yet, that's why you only see the two of them, after the official announcement they released another acoustic version of a song called "The One - Unfinished Version" and they included MomoMetal, the new official member in it. Talking about her, she also got a MomoBanger version when performing last March 2 at Legend MM celebrating MomoMetal's 21 birthday with two shows, the next day she played Meta Taro (Momo Taro), we don't have proshot clips, we're gonna have to wait a little bit more, only fancam around.

Just to clear something up here about Moa not getting to do much in the way of melodic singing.
MOA-METAL in 2019 interview for Hedoban:
"I do enjoy singing. But when it comes to BABYMETAL, I don’t think that’s my role, so I have no particular desire to sing here. Instead of singing myself, I love listening to SU-METAL’s singing, more than anything else. I think that SU-METAL is the only one who can lead BABYMETAL with her voice."
Most fans already know she has a good voice but it seems she really does want to concentrate on choreography.....for now.
I think another reason she is reluctant to sing is because she wants to save her voice for any solo project or career in the future.
Spoiling her voice now would reduce the impact of the surprise when she finally reveals her voice to the public.

The guy who came up with Babymetal and who is still the producer of course. Babymetal got started because he used to work with bands, but got asked to work in the kids department. He saw this 11 year old girl perform and though: man, I want to work with her, she has so much potential. Her singing style is unusual, that probably just made it more interesting. But he had this strange idea that it should be metal, while the reason he was moved to the kids department was because bands were just not as popular at the time in Japan. Also his idea seemed crazy and their are a lot of WTF-reaction videos proving, yeah, pretty out there. He was even some what unsure of it himself, so he asked a former CEO and he gave the wise words: if you don't try, you will always regret it. And because of the financial risk he wasn't allowed to do it anyway. But as part of a bigger group, their was no financial risk, so they let him do it. But with basically 0 budget. I do think Babymetal build up what they had by being self-financing. Well, the producer and the girls salaries didn't come from Babymetal of course.

I’m an old school BABYMETAL head, so my favorite songs of theirs are Headbanger, Rondo of Nightmares and Karate. BxMxC is a total banger, as well as Kagerou and From Dusk Til Dawn (that one has a stellar live version). I also love their collaboration with Bring Me The Horizon Starlight makes me cry every time I hear it - a song that is somewhat of a Good-Bye to both Yui and Mikio Fujioka)
There is a video some reactors have used for a comprehensive background study. I think it’s called “A (not so) helpful guide to BABYMETAL” or something like that. I’m sure you’ll find it.

Honestly, I don't know if they will suit your taste, but BABYMETAL said, "We have songs in many genres, so we understand that some of them you will like and some you won't," so please listen to a variety of songs.
The MV is also a great video work, but I recommend the live video.
I have known about BABYMETAL since 2010. However, I spent many years without any particular interest, and was shocked when I saw this FIRSTTAKE song "monochrome".
I could only cry at SU-METAL's singing ability and expressiveness.
I had been moved by some FIRSTTAKE songs up until then, but this was special.
I feel like I wasted my life for 13 years not being interested in them.
I am fascinated by SU-METAL's songs, but BABYMETAL is only because of the three of them.

I have listened to BABYMETAL every day over the last 7 years, so I knew that I loved Su's voice, yet this version still knocked me off my feet. Even now I can't listen to this without crying. The beauty of her voice and the emotion it conveys is incredible. What this video also shows is that this doesn't come out of nowhere, Su is working for it to sound like that. The way she carefully and consciously shapes every note is very obvious here.
Wait until you hear Moa sing GJ or Onedari Daisakusen (Budokan 2021 Live) 😂. My favourite song was Monochrome as well until I heard Metali and then Leave it all Behind (technically an F.hero song but it's so good!). They just keep getting better and better. If I could recommend a song for your next reaction it would have to be Metali feat Tom Morello (from Rage Against the Machine). Nice reaction!

Definitely check out "BxMxCx" Moabanger. And Bring Me the Horizon ft Babymetal "Kingslayer" live in Tokyo. I've only seen two solo Moa songs (They were Moa and Yui before). "GJ!" and "Onedari Daisakusen " live 2021, I believe it's at Budokan. The cuteness will give you life 😊

Su has been singing most for life since she was about 5/6 years old and it's all and it's all documented on UA-cam just type in Suzuka Nakamoto or Su-Metal and you see videos her performing with her older sister Himeka then her first professional gig Karen girls when she was 10 years old then some musical theater stuff and Sakura Gakuin where Babymetal was formed originally the heavy music club and Babymetal
Yes, Su's vocals are so powerful, and yet you may have noticed she does it with ease high low notes effortlessly.
MoMo has been with BabyMetal since 2019 and was only Avenger from 2020, just dancing no singing, but since 2023, full offical member and there is a MoMo Banger as well when she ceremonially took over during Headbangèr like Moa did . 😁🤘🏼🦊🤘🏼

People recommend a different guide because that one is filled with misinformation and Cryptic specifically created his in response to that abomination of a guide created by someone who has been quite vocal in her hatred of all men, and on record for stating that men shouldn't listen or be fans of BABYMETAL.

You obviously know nothing about BM. To say that Yui, Moa and now Momo, "don't do much", is so damn disrespectful. They are all amazing vocalists. Yui & Moa had their own set of songs that they sing together without Su being on stage at all. It's called Black Baby Metal, and they're the heaviest songs that BM does. And they have both also sung the lead vocals in songs many times. They are definitely not just backup songs and dancers that don do much. Unbelievable.
