I'm a white guy and I absolutely love denuguan. I was in the marines and we had a weekend pass and one of my junior marines who is Philippino asks me if I want to go meet his family. I said ya sure! So we drove for 5 or 6 hours to his family's house. We got in late and sleep in the next day and I wake up to this amazing smell and when I walked down stair I see a huge feast that his mom has been cooking all since the early hours of the morning. She starts to make me try everything. At least 40 + dishes. I tell her I can't take anymore food or I'll bust. She looks at me and says " put you haven't tried the chocolate pudding" . My friend looks at me and says "Don't do it. It's not a desert. After eating all that the denuguan (chocolate pudding) was a home run. It's my most favorite dish ever from anywhere. Best Ever Food Review Show I got scared for you when you tried the uncooked/unsauteed fermented shrimp paste because even most Filipinos do not eat that uncooked. You are so brave! Lol! Regarding Dinuguan, the featured recipe is like a hybrid of two dishes, the Bopis and the Dinuguan. I guess that is how Cebuanos cook their Dinuguan, but for most parts of the Philippines, the traditional one has only few ingredients using only vinegar to ensure that the blood will have the signature super black color.

Dinuguan is a Filipino savory stew of pork meat with blood. Originally dinuguan comes from manila, the sauce is thick and spicy. Manilenos use pork meat or small intestine. First off another great vid. I was fortunate to grow up with a lot of different cultures, one being Pinoy's (Philippine) and one of the mothers who cooked for all of us made this dish and it was amazing.
My Portuguese side of the family makes blood sausages all the time. With that said, dinuguan is perfectly fine with me. I prefer mine with a healthy dose of vinegar..Cheers!!
Agreed. The Bisaya version (which by the way they call dugo-dugo, not dinuguan) is a bit too flat for my taste, unfortunately. I actually wondered if it was clean at first

Sonny, are you back in the Philippines now? Last time, I checked you were in Cambodia or Vietnam. Yes sir, dinuguan is one of my favorite Filipino dish with cooked white rice, yum! I love it and I can make this dish too! The story is I would never failed to try every dinuguan that comes across me, either in some random Pinoy restaurants that I happened in my travels, or at Filipino potluck parties at work or just anyone's home. With birthday parties, wedding parties, house warming parties, anniversary parties, you name-it parties, Filipinos get into, there is FOOD of course central to this, and likely this dish, DINUGUAN, WOULD NOT FAIL to show up, seemed to be always there, at that proverbial table, haha. At times, there is not only one dish of it shows up, but maybe two or three folks would bring this dinuguan dish, but they're cooked differently, because of there is personal touch to it whoever cooks it. Dinuguan dish are also cooked, varies from one province to another. The main ingredient of course the pork blood, no doubt, and the pork tripe/intentines, ears, tongues, hearts and liver: in short, organ meats that are once throwaways, i guess not anymore, hehe!! Very interesting dish, but is yummy!! Subscribing to your channel!!! ;)

I pointed to 3 different items and they questioned if I was sure. I told them how I wanted to go in blind so I could have an honest opinion about these dishes. When you come back to the philippines, try the dinuguan recipe from northern philippines. It’s called “crispy dinuguan”. Also when you’re in the northern part of the philippines, try “bagnet”. A chicarones version from the phi”lippines. Also try the “Vigan longaniza”. For soup, try the “pinapaitan” and “sinanglaw.”. For something sweet, try the “Royal bibingka”, “Tupig”. These delicaasies are made from glutinous rice flour. If you are in Visayas or southern part of the philippines, These menus are available from “the bamboo grove” in Dumaguete. This restaurant specializes in native cuisine from all over the philippines.
I used to cooked Pork blood stew (Dinuguan) with grated coconut and I don’t put the blood directly to the cooking pot but I squeezed it with the grated coconut to be able to get the coconut milk fresh.. just sharing 😊

My best friend in high school is Filipina and I loved all of her food she would bring to lunch at school ♥️ we would always share our food and the differences were obvious but we connected so much over food always even though her Tagalog was better than her English and I spoke English only

My mom makes deneguan or however you spell, differently, she doesn't add organs, just the chopped pork meat. And it's a lot darker in colour almost black. And I loveeee it so much.
You we’re so funny, I couldn’t stop laughing!! Glad you made it to the Philippines, I on the other hand never been. I am a Filipino born in Hawaii so I didn’t really experience my Filipino culture to the fullest. Keep Traveling, keep eating!!! 🌺
Yes that’s not how we do it also we only prepare yummy and dat doesn’t look yummy yo me the color is to light .Tgeres better ways to make it and it’s really yummy
Wow! Never heard of dishes with blood before your show. It is not something I would normally be curious to order for the first time but I must say it looked very appetizing. Thank you for sharing your recipe! I think Filipinos have a great sense of humor and are very friendly and Light hearted from my experience. 🙆🏾♀️👍🏽✌🏽❤
Not Cebu's style, that's her style. It's missing a single ingredient which is what that differentiates Cebu's dinuguan from the others. That dish she cooked looked like Paklay to me than Dinuguan. P.S. Most people don't put kidneys and lungs in it. That just sounds gross to me. We put small innards (intestines) and heart. We cut them into bits to have that crunchy texture.
You can eat it raw but the cooked one are better for the green mangoes while the raw are better as sauces in fish or like grilled fish or kinilaw i don't know whats the English term of it sorry
Liela Luar ...dinuguan cook in different variations,,but the best dinuguan is from visayas or mindanao... I don't like LUZON dinuguan it's TOO dry, bicol and ilocano dinuguan are some dried dinuguan...
i dont like visayan and mindanaon dinuguan its too oily bicol is the best for me with coconut milk and squeeze alot of calamansi we also put papaya vegie so its not all meat very healthy
Theres a lot of ways to cook DINUGUAN,.others have sauce, others are just creamy yet saucy, others have coconut milk..my mother is I think for me is the best cook of Dinuguan..Black colored sauce, chunky meats, soury taste, and thick sauce..most of all,no foul smell that comes from organs of pig,she cook clean😊😊I miss her cooking though
99% of filipino food are eaten in combination of rice. The food alone is strong. Sour and bitter components are neutralized by rice. Eating filipino food without rice coats your palate with rich taste-bud coating fat. In other words everything you eat afterwards taste like pork. Always add rice 🍚
I always look forward to celebrating fiesta because I get to eat dinuguan. It’s not like we cook it on a daily basis though. Every now and then during my childhood, my Grandpa would cook dinuguan. I would volunteer cutting up the intestine. Dinuguan can be cooked in a variety of ways. You can add iba, string beans, banana heart. I also love paklay. Have you tried it Sonny?

Was it in subic bay? Cooks around central luzon are amazing. Specially in clark.
What kind of dinuguan is that? Is it a pork meat dinuguan? I bet next time you need to try the pig’s intestin dinuguan ‘cos it’s so tasty!!!
40+ dishes thats exagerating maybe less than 20
the last video you mention about what dish should you try in the Philippines?
I suggest also trying Pencit bihon or Canton, or crispy Pata,

My best friend in high school is Filipina and I loved all of her food she would bring to lunch at school ♥️ we would always share our food and the differences were obvious but we connected so much over food always even though her Tagalog was better than her English and I spoke English only
Dinuguan is one of my favorite dish. This is usually my mother's contribution during family gatherings.
give this man more subs! 😁🖒
Jed Carpitanos I will accept.
ei Best Ever Food Review im a susbcriber here in the Philippines..if your review is really for food you should go to Pampanga the culinary capital of the Philippines..You can try real authentic Filipino foods look for Chef Claude Tayag..Authentic sisig, dinuguan, bbq. kare kare adobo sinigang etc.
you got it
Lester devero, oh come on! That's like saying food from other regions are sub par. Different regions have different preferences and there's a lot of good food out there.
But if he does go to Pampanga, then I would recommend that he try the buro with mustasa and fried hito(catfish). Now that's hardcore.
philippines is one of the best producers of exotic food and cooking methods. 😍😇❤️❤️❤️ and i love this Best Food Ever because the vlogger is so entertaining, he was giving us satisfaction, while watching this. i love it 😍❤️❤️
Wow your channel grew so much in the past years 😊 happy for you keep up the good work
I watched most of food reviews in TV but this one is more awesome. This one should be in Netflix! Really the Best Food Review Ever!
You should try sinigang which i think is the best filipino recipe. I prefer sinigang than adobo.
Execution Critic just cooked some today 😄
AmericaThe Beautiful! ___ yes!!!! Lami!!!
He won't easily find sinigang in Cebu. It's not really that popular in Visayas and Mindanao.
timdella92 what you talking about. its served everyday in cdo. can't speak for visayas rhough
in cebu they dont eat sinigang sa sampalok , kamias , they prefer sinigang sa miso or gabi or nilagang baboy.
That dog bark moment. 😂 😂 😂 that dog doesn't care at all. 😂
The bagoong taste better if it is cook with pork lard and skin...with lots of tomatoes...
Same. I love that too
Also try it with lots of chilli and sugar😊
with ampalaya also
@@iankasandra2011 and just add coconuts milk then you have bicol express
My mom makes deneguan or however you spell, differently, she doesn't add organs, just the chopped pork meat. And it's a lot darker in colour almost black. And I loveeee it so much.
You we’re so funny, I couldn’t stop laughing!! Glad you made it to the Philippines, I on the other hand never been. I am a Filipino born in Hawaii so I didn’t really experience my Filipino culture to the fullest. Keep Traveling, keep eating!!! 🌺
Loli Ana oh man, u should try it sometimes.. amazingly amazing
He really ate “kamias”! that’s really sour dude! We used that fruit to make sour soup (Sinigang)😊 And the dog interferes his speech😂

Yes that’s not how we do it also we only prepare yummy and dat doesn’t look yummy yo me the color is to light .Tgeres better ways to make it and it’s really yummy
Yeah try zamboanga chavacano denuguan. 🤤🤤
My Ilocano uncles like to cook their Denuguan dry and a bit crispy.
Our dinuguan here in Iloilo is so dark.
SONNY is the most raw and natural reaction in every tasting and bite no cringy smile just natural 😊
Youre lucky by the way, that plate?? That was actually once in a blue moon when we use that,
Pinay moms be like
You lied Sonny! Where is the amazon-blood-link? :D

Wow! Never heard of dishes with blood before your show. It is not something I would normally be curious to order for the first time but I must say it looked very appetizing. Thank you for sharing your recipe! I think Filipinos have a great sense of humor and are very friendly and Light hearted from my experience. 🙆🏾♀️👍🏽✌🏽❤
Mama host is pretty sweet....she is beautiful too 💞💕

I love dinuguan one of my favorite dishes. I craved it a lot when I was pregnant with all my sons.
You should try dinuguan from bicol with coconut milk😀😀😀

dinuguan ng bicol is the best

cebuano's dinuguaan w0w. . quite different version too from ilocanos. might as well try this too. tnx for the video. .
Shin Kuro ..i prefer visayan style dinuguan for me..
Joseph Lin, the best comment! dapat ganito lng ang comment, pagtrip nu, I try nu! pagdi nu trip,di baliwala lng!
We cut them into bits to have that crunchy texture.
exactly
It's a similar style to dinuguan in mindanao. Paklay in mindanao consists of cow inners and not pig .
8:29 funny part when he realized he was the same guy from the other vid 😂
3:02 (shut up dog) hahaha! 5:45 "there's pandemonium in my mouth" hilarious, hahaha!
This is one of my favorite authentic Filipino dishes! Cebuanos cook the best dinuguan in our country.
No its actually the crispy Tinumis. You're welcome.
"EXTRA JOSSSS" had me rolling 😂
HAHAHAHAAH same
i thought it’s a hand washing center?! ahahaha
That bagoong is uncooked 😁😆. Sonny, next time have it cooked before eating it. 😁 You're not suppose to eat bagoong raw.
Rica's Homey Space you can eat uncook one
You can eat it raw but the cooked one are better for the green mangoes while the raw are better as sauces in fish or like grilled fish or kinilaw i don't know whats the English term of it sorry
Rica's Homey Space he want the bagoong powerful so he ate the raw u should watch the video again
we don't cook bagoong here
its ok to eat bagoong raw. i always eat it when its mango season never had any stomach problems
Here in bicol we put coconut milk on dinuguan
exactly! cheers from Naga City :D
Liela Luar ...dinuguan cook in different variations,,but the best dinuguan is from visayas or mindanao... I don't like LUZON dinuguan it's TOO dry, bicol and ilocano dinuguan are some dried dinuguan...
Liela Luar i love the Bicolano version.
i dont like visayan and mindanaon dinuguan its too oily bicol is the best for me with coconut milk and squeeze alot of calamansi we also put papaya vegie so its not all meat very healthy
That's good! Makes it creamy!
Nefarious Cookie TRUE
Well we love our rice thats why..
Yeah coz the climate is hot you need to eat lot of rice to replace energy loss, rice breaks into sugar to get you going all day.
You know the reviewer is not lying when hes smiling
0:54 -1:08 Dude with unibrow stares intensely at camera
Graffiti makes everything better
I always look forward to celebrating fiesta because I get to eat dinuguan. It’s not like we cook it on a daily basis though. Every now and then during my childhood, my Grandpa would cook dinuguan. I would volunteer cutting up the intestine. Dinuguan can be cooked in a variety of ways. You can add iba, string beans, banana heart. I also love paklay. Have you tried it Sonny?
*INC has left with their spaceship*
Hahahaha
Haha :))
Lmao
Hahaha taba ng utak😂
Hahaha, nyemes😂😂
