Surely you are in the Guinness Book of World Records for not only not stopping at the LL Bean flagship in Freeport but not even seeing it! LOL. But a great road trip! Love the lighthouses and that long breakwater walk looks glorious (at least in clement weather).
You are following in our footsteps! We stayed at and reviewed the Hampton Inn Portland West. Same for Amtrak Brunswick Station. Loved your video!! Always enjoy you two traveling.
No offense, but you didn't do your homework before visiting Maine. You were in Portland and missed the most famous and most visited lighthouse in Maine and one of the most famous in the world, Portland Head Light. You didn't even notice L.L. Bean in Freeport, the reason the town exists with its world headquarters and its flagship store. You drove right through Bath Maine, after Brunswick, and didn't even mention it with its huge ship (naval war ships) building location called Bath Iron Works. You mispronounced Damariscotta. Freeport has a NoreEaster train station which you missed. There is a train line all the way up to Camden Maine, from Brunswick, which was stopped some time around 2013/2014. Route 1 is hardly a boring route. Owl's Head light is one of the least isolated lighthouses in Maine. Next time, you might get things right.
Didn't see that video. That long rocky thing in Rockland is called a jetty or breakwater. The lighthouse at the end has recently fallen into disrepair...looked much better a few years ago. The metal thing you stood on to take a picture is called a floating dock. You seemed overly fascinated with seagulls. They are everywhere along the coast in Maine. You said you wanted to get off the highways and take a more scenic route up the coast of Maine and then called route 1 that goes along the beautiful coast boring??? Other than that, you didn't do your homework in this video.

Beautiful part of the country. Especially in fall. 😊 Thanks Jeremy. Seagulls taste like chicken 🐔. 😊
