The countryside looks very similar to most parts of Sweden. Very interesting to see how houses and structures, roads etc are done in the US compared to here. Thank you for showing us your nice country!

Ah, so you were in my NEK of the woods. Too bad you didn't continue down Hwy 114 down through Island Pond and take Hwy 105 to Derby through East Charleston, Charleston and West Charleston you would have passed in front of my home. Nice drive though and it looks like late Sept to Early Oct when the colors were peaking. I enjoyed the vid. Thanks.

So, unfortunately, you were not on Moose Alley if you were on State Road 145. Moose Alley is on US Rt 3 north of the Pittsburg village. However, pretty much anywhere in that area you might see Moose. However, fall is not the best time. Loved seeing our old stomping grounds - lived in West Stewartstown for 15 years before moving to Maine.

Good to see you survived your encounter with the Black Angus gangs of North Vermont! The moose were probably having a coffee break when you drove through.

That's what makes them so elusive

You should have taken NH route 3 north from Pittsburg to the Canadian border. Just outside Pittsburg you will soon enter a wilderness that is the real moose alley - starts after the last utility pole. That area is loaded with moose.

Even though I'm from the south, NC I love the Northwoods of America. Not been to the northeast but mainly MN, WI and the UP. They look similar and have a strange attraction for me

Probably a moose crossed the road behind you as you drove by.

How can a moose resist the undulated waters of Seymour Lake?

Geeze you just needed to get off the beaten path. My mother's family is from northern NH. Her dad was from colebrook and her mom from West Stewartstown. Actually if you had taken Campoke Rd from Stewartstown center North you would have passed Beaverbrook Falls where my folks were married and at dusk or dawn had a good chance of having a moose run into you every time you went down a hill into wet lands .
