JUNNA is an official member of HAGANE❣️ that's why i bought the new EP😂 vocalist name ,.NAGI this means "wishing for a calm and peaceful sea" in other word,.a.wonderful life journey😊
I was a fan of the former Hagane, and glad Sakura assembled this new version. I've had the pleasure of speaking to Sakura on several occasions-her mind is as honed as her playing. Song's lyrics by Sakura are very good-no translation will do it justice. Song's title refers to the Five Great Swords of Japan. MV filmed at Ryuko-ji, a temple of the Buddhist Nichiren sect built on the site of an execution ground. One of the five swords was once owned by the famed Buddhist priest Nichiren, who was nearly executed at that ground. Sakura seems to be evoking actual episodes in Japanese history while also conceiving a fine fictional lyrical narrative-great effort.
@@TheCyberMantis Hey CM. The Fujisawa-Kamakura area has a history as a political and cultural center going back hundreds of years. Also the beach and Enoshima, as you mention. A nice place to visit.
@otobokegaijin6218. Cheers for the additional information pertaining to the MV's choice of location, as it is absolutely stunning, with shades of Band-Maiko's Gion-cho video. Very happy indeed to see the other three (Kanako, Uyu, Mayto) bounce back musically following their departures from Hagane a year ago. Mana Diagram deserves more eyes and ears on them (fingers crossed Jump Again becomes the next single) while Hagane appears to be doing very well with both Nagi and Junna, now firmly in place. Shout out to Kanako for lending her drumming skills to PaleNeo while also currently in the process of forming a new band. Truth be told, I really didn't care all that much for Yeti Valhalla's brand of Sleaze Rock and felt that Kanako's work was better served within the context of Hagane, and more recently, in support of other fellow musicians including the aforementioned PaleNeo.🤘❤️✌️🇦🇺🌏
The new members are awesome, The vocals are amazing and Junna is such a great addition. I have been loving this since it came out last month. I started listening to Hagane in 2022 and bought their first 3 EP releases, then when their first album came out "code ; 9021" I got the special edition which has 3 acoustic songs in addition to the 12 tracks on the album. Winterysky Black cult Connect The acoustic songs were a major highlight for me because the listener was really able to appreciate UYU vocals, but the best track was Black cult & Zero. One thing I like what Sakura does, is she is not afraid to put cool instrumentals on a CD, I imagine many people would shy away from doing that more than once. She now has a total of 7 instrumental tracks that are really cool, you can loop them to anything really. It's really nice that they are back with a new line-up. Something I have been very excited about recently.
Sounds good.. Song opens up like Black Cult. Still using a 2nd guitar in the track also. Will be interesting to see how the handle it live and if they rework previous songs to a 4 piece like Nemophila did. Singer Nagi sounds good too. A little more controlled sound as opposed to Uyu's more theatrical sound. PS.. Junna being Junna in the background making her pouty faces lol
Yeah, this song and the album in general has twin guitars all over it, even though it’s obviously Sakura playing all the parts. Being an older guy (52) that grew up with live shows actually being live, my preference would be that they add a second guitarist at least for the live shows rather than resorting to backing tracks or stripped down arrangements to make things work with one guitarist.
Incredible musicians on all instruments and it is striking, in my humble opinion, the resemblance of the singer, Uyu, with Akane the drummer of Band Maid ! Thanks OMB.
Is this what they call melodic rock/metal? Whatever - a very crisp song..Very well done and a nice video into the bargain. i've got nothing to complain here.
Junna fits in just right with Hagane's style of music. I also noticed she does not have name on the bass drum in this video. Nagi sounds great even if this is her first time in a band. They have started out just where they left off.
The new Hagane release is pretty darn good. The backing piano and flute etc is interesting because Uyu and Maito's band Mana Diagram have a similar sound. Its like the old Hagane split and now we have two. Thats a good thing. Two lots of shredders and great music and bands. Mana Diagrams new songs of the EP are shred fests too. Also Mr B.a band to look out for. A new young Japanese "easycore" band called Launcher No 8 with an EP out called Stylebender. They dont have any music videos yet. Just EP tracks on YT. There are some mobile phone live footage videos on YT that show they are full on dynamic live. They are starting to get popular in that "easycore" movement in Japan. I've had their EP on repeat for about 3 weeks now. Their track "City lights" is probably a good representation of their sound and they have an anthem already called "Wake up" which is a crowd favorite. Something new to keep an eye on.
Hey B. I couldn't understand what you said before the video started about JUNNA. Then the video starts ,and I knew immediately. Pigtails, and body and head movements are a dead giveaway. Another video of the awesome talent from the DEPTHS of the ENDLESS Japanese Female Musician pool! You should put "(JUNNA on Drums)" in the title. It will draw more attention to this awesome band. They deserve it! These girls are WAY BETTER than they are getting credit for! I can imagine that there are literally thousands of young girls in Japan being inspired by the likes of BandMaid, Lovebites, and the meteoric rise of Nemophila. And the best thing for us, is they are willing to put in the work to get there themselves. They will make western bands look like amateurs. OK, they've already done that. I meant even more like amateurs.
Thank you, yes I can do that it just that I have had all sorts of problems, so I just had to these reaction as quick as possible to get the other stuff, sorted out.
Hey, Brandon. Hope you've been well lately. Just received my copy of the new EP Life Goes On from Japan Sunday morning my time here in Australia which also came with a lovely portrait/photograph of the band with, from left to right: Sayaka, Nagi, Junna and Sakura. I'd figured you would eventually react to the first MV with the new incarnation of Hagane featuring both Nagi and Junna. Hagane reduced to a quartet for the first time since the band's inception back in 2018, with the first incarnation of the band comprised of Sakura and Mayto on guitars, Kanako on drums and original vocalist Chiemi. I get where you're coming from Brandon, noting the absence of a second guitar, but Hagane are certainly not alone in that department, with Nemophila also reduced to a quartet since Saki's departure and like you, I'm equally curious as to how they'll make out live with just Sakura on guitar but I'm certain they'll be just fine.✌️❤️🤘
@r1learner178 I agree, but then Hanabie have always been a quartet even with the change in personnel, more specifically that of the drummer, with Chika being the band's 4th drummer. Sae of course has since resurfaced in the band Code of Zero.
It's great that HAGANE is continuing, their new EP is excellent and hopefully a full album is coming soon. They filmed the MV at Ryukoji Temple in Kanagawa Prefecture. Oh, and congratulations to Lewis on his British GP win, Norris could've taken it, but Mclaren's pit wall made the wrong calls.
This I needed! Yeah and nothing like a alid back and relaxed drummer (I kid). If I did not know that Liverbirds original drummer left before the band toured Japan I would wonder if that was her great grand niece. ua-cam.com/video/-essM3zzcrY/v-deo.html
Song is good. Musicians are outstanding. Not crazy about the flute or synth or whatever that was being used throughout the song. It was fine for the soft bridge section with the falling flowers but didn't go with the rest of the tune.
Junna is a Beast on the drums.
