    ...or you could just use the tire tread appearance in the Rubber folder... 🤷🏾‍♂️

    does the height section include what seats into the rim?? do we lose a little bit of tire height because of the flange? or is that built into rim diameter?

    • @ASquareCD
      @ASquareCD  Рік тому +1

      What seats onto the rim is considered here. Tire height will be lost or gain according to pressure inside the Tyre.

    How can we insert carcass under tread in solid works?

    • @ASquareCD
      @ASquareCD  Рік тому

      No need to insert.
      We can model it with the Tyre surface.

      I need to check. You want data or reference video?

    i want to make a tyre of180/55-ZR17 and a custom rim for it but I am confused with its dimensions, isn't there any brand which gives cad files of the tyre

    • @ASquareCD
      @ASquareCD  3 роки тому +1

      No, There is no brand which gives CAD file of tyre.
      However you can search in Grabcad library for the CAD of the tyre you are looking for.
      You can also download my tyre CAD and customize it as per your dimesnions. Link is in the description.
      In case you dont know about the dimensions of your tyre, let me decode for you.
      180/55-ZR17=
      1. Rim size - R17 = 17 inches= 431.8 mm (This is rim diameter)
      2. tyre width=180 mm
      3. aspect ratio = 55
      4. tyre profile height= 99 mm
      5. Tyre overall diamter = rim diameter + 2 X tyre profile height
      => 431.8 + 2 x 99 = 629.8 mm
      6. Z is permissible speed limit rating. Check the speed rating index for the speed.
      Thats it. I hope i solved your query.

      @@ASquareCD thank you for replying.
      What I mean by dimensions is the curves and thickness of the tyre which you have set while modelling.

      @@ashishac7913 yes, nice question. I previously had done a project on Tyre making, so that's how I know it.
      I suggest for making the inner cross-sectional profile, you need to read on Tyre construction, thickness of plies, safer groove depth, tread height, Tyre carcass thickness, sidewall height, etc.
      These are some terms if you Google them you can get lot of references and idea about thickness.
      And regarding dimensions of curves, there is no defined dimensions for them. It can be arbitrary provided you do the structural and thermal analysis of the Tyre. Based on the results of analysis, you can modify those curves as per your design boundaries.
