i live for this band, the clarks should be the most popular band in the the world. indiana pa here. we seen our part of the clarks. indiana loves u, waiting again.
@osubuckeyes212: "I got a job working construction for the johnstown company." are lyrics from The River which was written by Bruce Springsteen and only covered by The Clarks. They are all from different towns in Western PA, met and formed the band at IUP, and now call Pittsburgh home.
First time I have heard this..The first lines had me hooked..another hit..Thank you Clarks..for your talent..for your representing W.Pa and for your consistent and constant presence in our lives..
Thank you, Lisa, for a great son. Thank him for his service. United States Marine Corps auntie here, and former USAF military spouse 22 years...Godspeed!
they are from pittsburgh. they formed in high school but did attend iup. the lyrics you're referring to is from the song "the river" which was originally bruce spingsteen's. they just redid it and much better at that
@osubuckeyes212 just sayin the song the river was done by Bruce Spingsteen long before The Clarks ever did it, and the original says " i got a job working construction for the Johnstown Company." so....
could the new song you are speaking of alsippi17 possibly be true believer? "she swore she loved me and i believed her....something................true believer"
Umm... Technically the Clarks aren't from Pittsburgh. They're from Johnstown. It's even in one of the song lyrics: "I got a job working construction for the johnstown company." Just wanted to clear that up. The only reason that they are said to be from Pittsburgh is because that is where they always play and because noone knows about Johnstown.
Umm... Technically the Clarks aren't from Johnstown. That song is a cover of a Bruce Springsteen tune. Scott is from Connellsville (the Youghiogheny flows around the bend...) and he met the rest of the guys at IUP.

Beautiful old time steel mill blues war tune. The only reason this band never hit it big is because they didn't want to.
@BritIronRebel I love how people start talking when they have no clue what the hell they're saying hah. Pwned 'em!
