Right with you!! Me being away from home 16 years, missing the country, space, black n gold everywhere, family, (sigh)… I’ll be back someday. Had to leave cause fell into the Allegheny and couldn’t get out 😂 Had to leave and change my addictive ways. I finally grew up having a great wife and teenagers now. I’m better off without my dumb young me. Still love the good old burgh and western Pa. It’s a complete 180 to NYC. Still, I needed a complete change and worked. To me back home is a hidden gem. I’m from Deer Lakes. Cranberry, Richland and Mars are a new city themselves!! Since i graduated in 98, we where in the same section as Pine Richland and Mars. Now Richland is 6A and Mars 5A soon to be 6. It’s growing like a weed out there. Having 79 and the turnpike, with route 8, 228, it’s non stop building out there. My dad works as a super at HP Starr lumber yard off 228 and route 8. Even during 08 when housing crisis happened, they barely slowed down laying one guy off. It’s been non stop busy with contractors buying and building out there. Sorry i know this the Clark’s song. Just being gone, when i comeback to visit, just amazed how things change each year in this area. The city may not be getting people but northern suburbs on Allegheny and Butler County line is blowing up!!!
This song just wandered into my head. I haven't heard it in years. I wonder if i heard a piece of it somewhere? Maybe I miss my hometahn. It only took 23 years to see the video. I never even knew they made one.
They actually started in Indiana, PA, NOT Pittsburgh! Pittsburgh has enough going for it that you don’t have to snipe The Clark’s from Indiana, PA which has so little going for it!
I miss the Burgh too bro.... been dahn every street from wilkinsburg to shadyside to the north shore......even after ppg let out lol. West Tenn ain't bad i guess but Middle Tenn is where its at but that comes with a price tag and from what I understand, east Tennessee may as well be like Seven Springs, a resort.
Pittsburgh has a abundance of great bands. We have the best METAL bands in the country. If the producers would ever come here thay would see that Pittsburgh could be the next Bermingham.
The Clarks got lotsa love here in Western NY State in Rochester, Buffalo, and Elmira-Corning. This song was played quite regularly on the radio when it was new..Especially on 50,000 watt WKPQ-FM before it flipped formats to what passes for country music nowadays ;-)
Much love back to buffalo, you bastards got winter even worse than us (west PA) lol. I Don't miss the snow shovel. No wings ANYWHERE in ALL of Tennessee though.
Kpq is country now?! Man I left Steuben county in 2009, didn't realize things had gotten so bad since I left. Of course, where I live now had 2 classic rock stations and 4 "pop/rock/whatever modern stuff is" mix type stations, and all but one classic rock station have converted to country. Like we didn't already have 7 country stations. Not that I don't like country, but I don't like it enough to where I feel like we need 273 stations playing country and 1 playing literally any other genre of music.
There is so much nostalgia in this video... All the places closed, places renovated, Heinz Field, PPG paints arena.. That old school cell phone... Lol Man, I need to get home soon
I don’t even know if you still use this account, but if you do, I miss The Cellar so much! I saw these guys there twice, once in October of ‘05, and the other in March of ‘09. Time flies…
Born in Cali, Raised in Morgantown, WV..... LOVE THESE GUYS!!... Moved down to KY in 2012... don't get to hear much from them anymore.. Miss Home, glad to leave the drama behind.
rob james is awsome. i met him 3 times and everytime he remembered me and even met my family. and i hungout with him and scott in indiana after a concert.
He's what I'd call a very "tasteful" guitarist. Hits the right notes with a great ear for melody without having to go all cock-rock Yngwie style flash trash to prove how good he is. David Gilmour is another like that.
God I love this song. Had a rough night with the girl and still pissed off all day. Get done with work and turn on the radio...blam this song is on right at the beginning. Drove home with the windows and sunroof open singing the words at the top of my lungs... and felt so much better and even happy. Great song for dealing with being pissed at the girlfriend or wife. Oh yeah go Steelers! Love the Clarks!
Scott was a Cville guy so band played around area some. Long time ago from our home on Swink Hill Rd could hear them playing across hill at home on Englishman Hill Rd. My elderly Dad and cousin's husband heard them playing and announced they were headin over there to check things out. I convinced them not a good idea. I did enjoy sittin on porch and getting a free over the hill concert though.
I used to be a resident bouncer at the Highland House in Uniontown back in the day of The Zippers and when these guys would come there before they hit it big, god I miss those days.
dude I'm telling you right now bro if u smoke weed this song kills bro!!!!!! i literally cannot smoke a single joint without this song ringing my ear drums beatifully i could masturbate to this shit for like 2 hours straight dude wow
Awesome views of Pgh.! Been living in MI for 9 years and I miss the 'Burgh and The Clarks...now I can see ya anytime! How about an Indiana, PA video next time???, An IUP grad
hey yinz, grew up in uniontown and that, listening to these guys at the highland house! after we red'up we wode listen to the tapes of these guys from connellsville and go up to iup to party with them; or meet them at pirmanni"s to do a slawburger... LET'S GO PENS!
Im in Morgantown and vaguely familiar with the band due to 'Take Care of You'. Had no idea was the same band until just now, just a random good song i'd hear on CLG occasionally. These guys are good.
13 years later and I still can't understand how this wasn't a hit. It's got the groove, the riff and the hook. I genuinely can't figure out why this didn't work. It makes no sense to me that Let It Go wasn't a platinum album. It's catchy song after catchy song. Oh, right, the guys aren't Masons, don't worship the devil and don't push communist ideology. That's it.
Only 50 years ago, THIS was "devil-worshipping commie music". You're no better than those same fearful idiots back then. Nothing to do and nothing important to say.
@@islmis It's a song about a relationship. It's not performed by someone whose name is pronounced Lucifer. There's no Masonic imagery. No one is covering one of their eyes. There are no bunny ears. No one is wearing a red star hat for a Che Guevara shirt. No one is quoting the communist manifesto. This is as far from devil worship music as you can get without it being religious music. You're trying to make an argument that isn't there to prove a point that doesn't exist. John Lennon quite literally quoted the communist manifesto. There is a rapper whose name is literally pronounced Lucifer. There are TENS OF THOUSANDS of music videos where the singer covers his/her eye, handles a snack, stands on Masonic tiles, etc.
D Mauro seems like they play around this area all the time. My friend's band opened for them at Ace's in Johnstown a few years ago, they played a benefit for local community centers (YMCA, The Open Door, The Alice Paul House, etc) in Indiana 2 years ago (I volunteered there that day), they just played the waterfront in Kittanning last summer, and somewhere else nearby just within the last couple months. Not the Burgh, but not too far away.
This brings up fond memories of watching the Anna Nicole Smith Show when I was in junior high. By complete coincidence, I've recently become fixated on George Romero, too.
After the Fall,Deathmobile,Glitz,Baghead,to name just a few.The list goes on just check out Roctober fest,Metal fest or Rock for life.Pittsburgh has the best Metal bands any where. We realy could be the next Bermingham
I SO LOVE THIS BAND FROM OUR OWN HOMETOWN!
I got hooked the first time I heard SHIMMY LOW!
Same!!

Damn, I miss Pittsburgh since I moved to Tennessee in 2011. This video shows many of my old stomping grounds around the Burgh.
me too!! where ru at in TN??
The Burgh still looks the same. It's always a beautiful city I always love.
I moved in 2005, grew up in Wexford.
@@stephaniepaha1153 me too. 814 to 731. West PA to West Tenn for the wife (she's from here) and the money. I MISS home Every day though.

scott blasey came to my moms birthday and held a backyard concert at my house. whole neighborhood came to hear him sing and play. amazing memory.
Pittsburgh has a abundance of great bands. We have the best METAL bands in the country. If the producers would ever come here thay would see that Pittsburgh could be the next Bermingham.
Heard this for the first time at a concert 17 years ago, still listening to it.

I'm from Pittsburgh but lived in Horseheads for a summer, visited Rochester too. That whole area of New York and all the stuff in between is awesome!

Just saw them last night at The Cellar in Struthers Ohio. Been a long time since I've seen them. They still kicked ass.

One of their best songs. Good video showing the city.
Still one of my favorite songs ever...I love his singing and I think that the lead guitarist plays just awesome!
Pittsburgh Rocks and so do The Clarks!! Woot
I love this so much. Summer of 2006 working with Budd traveling the Jersey coast. Partying home on weekends. Life was good.
I’m from Indiana, PA where they originally formed way back when and have seen them countless times live!
They sound a lot like Space Hog on this one.
This is so 2006ish. Clothes. Cars. Styles. I turned 24 that year. Great times.
The Clarks are the best band in the Pittsburgh music scene! This is an awesome video! I wish they would make more music videos and post them!

favirote band in the world, and best live band by far ever.
