@@JDC-84 Shame they couldn't make Sydney work. They have the full northern suburbs and Central Coast to themselves, but lacking a properly located rectangular stadium, and transport infrastructure until recently. Should have had a boutique ground around Epping or NW maybe
Unfortunately the super league war Oversaturated rugby league and caused so much devastation to the already established teams. In one year rugby league shot itself in the foot then proceeded to cut its own ears and nose off.
My high school team as a teenager, the mighty Bears of N/Sydney 😢 I watchd that game in Port Moresby 🇵🇬 they were all class all year (1994) Florimo, Taylor, Soden, Larson, Fairleigh, Seers, Caruwana, Moore, Hall, Cleary (IC came from Manly that yr) . Sadly they eventually lost to Raiders (led by Dailey n Stewart with big Mal final game)😢😢😢 The bears were a formidable force in the early 90s threatening top teams. Its 30s years 🎉 now n memory still leaves on😊😊. ........ Ivan cleary who played n lost to Canberra in nxt game would create NRL history 😮 with his son Nathan (Cleary) if they beat Storms on Sunday NRL g/final. Amazing ❤😮 Go the Mighty Bears 🐻 ❤🇵🇬🇵🇬
He was a try scorer and he was big and fast and powerful. In this backline alone he managed to score 120 tries while Renouf scored 142 sailor scored 127, Johns scored 57, langer scored 100 and walters scored 74. With all those tries being scored the fact Hancock was in the top 3 scorers shows 1 how ridiculous the broncos were back then and that mick was a weapon on his day.
Feel for the Bears. They came so close to a breakthrough a few times in the 90s. Gone by the end of the decade
Let’s hope they find success in Western Australia.

@@Sydneysidelinernever gonna happen, the NRL’s primary goal is to expand outside of NSW

Good sportsmanship from Wendell to pick Mark up, after accidentally knocking him down👍

Both teams were gun!
Storms
What happened to this team🤔?
Please anyone shed some light
When the Super League and ARL combined they had to remove some teams due to budget cuts I'm pretty sure
Hancock cant defend for shit. How he made the kangaroos ahead of other wingers i dont know 😂😂
Hancock was try scoring machine and sides struggled to tackle him

I hate the Bears so much
Get ready. They're coming back in 2027. The Western Bears.
