The legendary actor who totally disappears into the role he plays....This man has such an iconic willpower and determination and the chameleon ability that he makes Christian Bale look like a kid.. Cannot tell that he is the same guy in There Will Be Blood, Gangs of New York, My Left Foot, Nine...Extrordinary talent... Mind blowing..

The actor realised that it was the perfect time for him to quit acting and drop a mic. You know, some actors end their careers by giving a truly great performance (similarly to Daniel Day-Lewis's final screen appearance in "Phantom Thread"). The other ones keep acting and end up starring in a bad film unworthy of their talent. I'm glad that Sir Daniel did the former thing. As The Guardian's Michael Simkins once put it: "Actors usually envy each other. But Daniel Day-Lewis is a class apart"
